This is a hardcover cookbook called the Summer Cookbook. It was written by Lousine Rousseau Brunner. It has 200 pages including the index. this cookbook was written for anyone whose appetite flags as the temperature soars. Many recipes require a minimum of preparation time, can be put together in advance, and refrigerated until time for the oven. Directions are clear and precise enough to be followed easily by even inexperienced cooks. Examples of some of the recipes are Brandied Ham Slices, Eggs Orientale, Swedish Bean Salad, Corned Beef Salad, Deviled Halibut, Cold Chicken Pie, Farmer's Salad, Oriental Oranges, and Pineapple Coconut Delight. It's in good condition considering its age. I've thumbed through it and don't see any major flaws such as torn pages, serious stains or scribbles. You might find a spot or two or a note in the margin. The dust jacket has wear as seen in the pictures. This Summer Cookbook will provide great family meals for years to come.
