This is a used W.A. Whitney No 45 hand punch tool. Embossed on the tool: W.A. Whitney Mfg. Co. / W-W is on one side, and the other side has: Punch No. 45 / Rockford, ILL/ U.S.A.
The tool measures 8-1/2 inches length, 3-1/2 inches width and weighs 2.8 pounds (unpackaged). It retains most of its original green paint, and comes with the adjustable depth stop gauge.
Would punch thru different materials such as: Sheet metal, steel, aluminum, tin. This company started in 1906 and is still in operation, so accessories can still be easily obtained for this hand tool.
