A 1-ounce to 2 1/2 pound scale manufactured by IDL Manufacturing of New York. Size is approx. 6 1/2" high to top of letter holder, base measures 6" deep x 3 1/2" wide. The 1 ounce postal rate is 3-cents on the face plate, that rate was used from 1932 to 1958. All metal construction with painted face plate. Very nice condition with no damage, works well. Light soiling to the face plate.
If this old scale is for actual use, it weighs accurately to within 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce of true weight. Circa. 1930s-40s.
