13.5" x 6.25" 15th/16th Century. Large & sturdy Late Yuan, early Ming Dynasty Chinese Celadon Porcelain vase from the Longquan kilns. Just de-accessioned from a local & large collection, guaranteed authentic. Most likely a 14th-15th century piece. With high sloping shoulders and tapering sides below a short, straight neck, carved and incised around the body with cell pattern between bands of vertical lines and flower heads around the neck, and bands of trellis and vertical lines around the base, covered overall in a olive-green glaze with dark russet crackles stopping neatly above the orange foot rim. Some chips on the foot. |
