Walter Scott Lenox founded Lenox, Inc. in 1906. Despite his acute disability, he had become the sole proprietor of a ceramics company and achieved his goal of creating beautiful ivory-tinted porcelain. Upon his death in 1920, Mr. Lenox had created a china legacy that, even today, is renowned the world over for its fine craftsmanship and superior quality. Made to hold an 8 x 10 picture the opal color with silver trim around the rim is exquisitely done. In new condition, in it's original box that shows wear it measures 14 1/4 inches high and 12 1/4 inches wide. An addition to any Lenox China Picture Frame Collection.
