This is a nice hand made, custom padded interior wood box with brass hardware including four feet, hinges, latches, and padlock latch, also a carry handle on the top. It is in very nice condition with tarnish on the brass hardware, nice smooth finish, and very nice blue velvet padded interior. The box exterior measures 7.5" x 11.5" x 2.5" tall. The interior measures 6" x 10", made to hold items up to about .12" (1/8") thick inside. It appears it was used to hold old mini padlock, and other very small items in a collection. The padding is designed to press down on the items inside, so the don't move during transport. The wood is a top quality birch plywood, sanded smooth, and finished with a light clear sealer. The hardware is good quality, nice corner brasses also. A very sturdy valueables box overall! |
