Circa: 1930 Manufacturer: Made in Japan
This very colorful cherry blossom floral porcelain chocolate pot from the late 1920s early 1930s is marked: Made in Japan in magenta. The majority of the marks are found in 3 different colors: green, blue, or magenta. Colors indicate the quality of porcelain used: green for first grade porcelain, blue for second grade, and magenta for third grade. The delicately hand painted flowers with green leaves are in colors of lavender and purple with white centers and brown vines and gold and blue trim with the matching lid are exquisitely done. In very good + condition without chips, cracks or fleabites it does have a staining on the rim where the top rests and again on the outside top rim which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 10 3/8 inches tall, 6 3/4 inches spout to handle and 4 1/8 inches across the base. An addition to any Japan Cocoa Pot Collection. SH & Ins. will be quoted after orders placed. If you have questions please contact me and thank you for looking.
