Vintage ships's heel indicator instrument to measure the degree of a ships list. Instrument has a glass face cover with outer brass ring and metal housing. Locking knob on bottom to lock the indicator bar and a knob on top that is pushed to reset the black max. heel indicator bars. Instrument is in good working order with indicator bar moving freely and heel reading is accurate. 5 3/4" diameter x 2 1/4" deep. Weighs just over 2 lbs.
Condition: Glass face cover has no scratches or damage. Outside brass ring has not been polished and the brass has dulled. It has edge denting especially the left side. Metal housing has one 2" long scuff to the finish and one very small dent at backside edge, otherwise very good.
