Manufacturer: American Encaustic
Made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company in Zanesville, Ohio, this tile is part of their Alhambra line. It's made from a hard white porcelain clay. The tile measures 6" high by 4" wide. It has a number on it, and depending on which way you orient this, it can be the number 6 (six) or the number 9 (nine). Bright robins egg blue background with the number in white. Generally in nice condition. Circa 1910. Great to use as a house number! (#1823)
