A fabulous piece of Commemorative ware in the form of a Moorcroft Tobacco Jar and Cover, produced for the coronation of King George VI, on the 12th May 1937.
The jar is decorated with tubelined inscriptions to King George VI, Queen Elizabeth (the late Queen Mother), the date of the coronation and adorned with further decorations of Crowns, Orbs and floral emblems of the United Kingdom.
A charming piece for any colector of both Moorcroft or items of British Royalty, the item is offered in EXCELLENT condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. The Item also carries the scripted, William Moorcroft initials, the Royal waranty label and the impressed, facsimile backstamp of the period.
