Lyric by W. F. Onder; Music by Edouard Hesselberg. Private Publisher with a 1919 copyright by W. F. Onder 3725 Louisiana Ave. St. Louis, Mo.
In excellent condition and a relatively scarce piece as many songs were composed at the end of the WWI era praising the great American General Pershing.
What is of interest in this song is the reference to the Gen. as a favorite son being from Missouri and the famous town of Laclede in particular.
The composition is good, and not quite as "forgettable" as others that appeared during the time when the General was memorialized in many ways in song.
A nice Historical piece of Post World War I Sheet Music seldom seen.
