This attractive vintage hinged tin litho biscuit or cookie tin was made in France by Massilly. It features a classic Quimper Breton peasant couple on the lid surrounded by flowers and a sponged dark blue rim over bright white. The back says "Illustration par courtoisie des Faienceries de Quimper - HB Henriot" - roughly translated, the illustration is courtesy of or licensed by the famous HB Henriot, makers of France Quimper faience pottery.
The tin is 7-3/4" by 5-1/4" by just over 2-3/4 inches high. There are a couple of tiny oxidation spots inside, otherwise it's in excellent vintage condition with no scratches or fading to the graphics.
