Circa: 1900
Manufacturer: The MC Lilley Co. of Columbus Ohio

We are proud to present for your inspection the second of three exceptional Masonic Knights Templar ceremonial swords which we recently acquired. We have dealt with many fraternal swords over the years, but have never had the pleasure of dealing with anything matching the quality and condition of these three swords.

This particular sword is named to Charles W. Fleming. While it is impossible to put an exact date on the sword, it was made by The MC Lilley Co. of Columbus Ohio ca 1890-1920.
It is 36 inches long in the scabbard with a blade length of 28 inches. The blade is elaborately decorated on both sides with gold washed engravings and is inscribed with name Charles W. Fleming. The scabbard is nickel plated with enameled, white metal fittings.
I donít know what material the scrimshawed handle is made of, but it is definitely not celluloid or bone. Iíll leave it to the buyer to examine the pictures and draw their own conclusion. I have tried to show the graining in the pictures.

I canít emphasize enough the amazing condition of this sword. It is in what I would consider excellent, near mint condition. There is no rust and very little wear or pitting on either the sword or scabbard. The fittings are all tight, and you can tell that it has been treasured and well cared for over the last 100 or so years . It has obviously been stored in its own leather sword case which is included, and is also marked with Charles W. Flemingís name.

I have tried to show the condition in the pictures, as they describe it much better than I ever could. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more photos.
