Description: Opened in 1904, the CPS State Street Store in Chicago had nearly 1 million square feet. And at CPS, Saturdays meant special Hobby Horse Luncheons for children in the company’s Tea Rooms. This single page includes a ‘Party Luncheon’, ‘Shopper’s Special’ and ‘A Snack’ menu. There is nothing printed on back side.
Features and Specials: For 55 cents, the ‘younger set’ could have their choice of ‘Creamed Chicken and Peas in a Mashed Potato Nest’ or ‘Broiled Lamb Chop with Parsley Potato.’ This would be accompanied by ‘Ribbon Sandwiches,’ choice of Chocolate Brownie A la Mode, Fresh Fruit Compote, Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream, and milk, cocoa or chocolate milk.
Condition: The menu is near mint condition with few signs of use and no abuse. There are no tears or stains. What a Find!
