This vintage 1940s carved wood and Lucite acrylic horse head pin is large in size and full of character. The head with mane is 3" high, 2 3/4" wide by 5/8" thick.
The crystal-clear mane has incised lines at each scallop of "braided hair". The wood has a warm natural tone, a carved mouth with red paint and a jolly googly eye that moves as you do.
The pin secures with a C-clasp. Condition is very fine.
