Circa: 1940s Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Shiny Brite
A dozen 1940s to 1950s Shiny Brite glass Christmas ornaments with double indent centers and wide red center bands alternating with thin white or light green stripes. Actually, the two smaller ornaments are not Shiny Brites but go well with the group.
There are three double drop type ornaments about 3-1/4" high. The two large teardrops are about the same size and have spiked flower embossed centers - note how each style or shape has a different design in the center.
There are three smaller 2-1/2 inch teardrops and three round indents including the non-Shiny Brite, 1-3/4" to 2-1/4" diameter. The last ornament is similar to the larger double drops. It is the only one with significant finish wear. Some of the ornaments have a milky white or transparent effect to the bottoms from age degradation of the inner silvering. None have any chips or breaks.
