This is a cute, medium sized tea or coffee canister. It is marked with the word Japan. That is its only identification. According to the McKinley Tariff, any item imported after 1921 had to be marked Japan, not Nippon. Also, in 1939, there was a rule added that the words made in must be added to the country of origin. For these reasons, I believe this was manufactured between these dates. It is in fair, used condition. I would not normally list an item in this condtion, but it is very cute, and would look good used for display. It has extensive crazing and a few small glaze cracks. There are no chips. It has its original lid, but both the canister and the lid have condition issues. Please look at the pictues, and be aware of condition before you purchase. I am attaching several pictures.
