High Quality Victorian BRONZE & ENAMEL Table Top Frame
This is a very unusual standing oval picture frame superbly made. The frame is made of bronze and is quite heavy for its size. There are 4 decorative blue enameled straps on the front cover (straps are mounted on the oval with 2 small screws each). The oval front cover must be opened to view the picture. The frame can take a picture size of 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/8 inches. There is no glass for the oval bezel. Frame stands with a very sturdy bronze easel. The frame has some markings on the inside part on the bottom of the photo area(see photo), I am not sure who made the frame but believe it to be European. I believe the frame to date to approximately 1900 and is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The total frame stands approximately 10 inches in height and the widest part (bottom) is approximately 9 inches. Shipping with insurance will be $17.00 in the Continental USA. |

CZECHOSLOVAKIA Metal Enameled Easel Frame
For sale is a small metal easel type picture frame with red enameling(simulating jewels). The frame is marked on the backside with a small metal oval tag "Made in Czechoslovakia". The frame measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall (from top tip to bottom) by approximately 2 1/2 inches wide. Frame has glass inside to cover picture and takes a picture size of 2 1/2 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide. I believe the frame dates to approximately 1920 and is in excellent condition with no damage. I am not sure what the make-up is of the metal(looks like brass plated copper). Frame has oxidation and wear to some of the plating, consistent with its age. The frame has a lovely antique look and will enhance any picture you put in it. Fancy Antique Cast Iron Easel Frame with Print
For sale is a fancy cast iron table top frame with original gold paint. I believe the frame dates to approximately 1900 and is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. There is some minor gold wear to the front of the frame. It appears that 4 of the clips that hold the picture in have been replaced at some point(the sides and bottom - SEE PHOTO). The frame contains a print of a young noble child with glass in front of it. The frame has an opening for the picture of 10 inches by 7 inches. Rare signed ROBERT JARVIE Brass Standing Picture Frame
For sale is a standing picture frame made by Robert Jarvie. The frame has a emblem on the bottom of the frame, AMPA(American Meat Packers Association) with a date of 1914. The frame is marked on the back by the easel, MADE BY ROBERT JARVIE UNION STOCKYARDS CHICAGO. The Frame measures approximately 7 inches tall with a width of approximately 5 1/2 inches. The frame can take a picture of 4 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/8 inches. The oval part of the frame measures approximately 5 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide. The frame is quite heavy for a small frame and weighs 380 grams. The frame is in very good condition with a mellow patina. I have not polished it and am not sure if it was ever done. Large BEVELED and ETCHED Hinged Dresser Box, JESSIE
For sale is a large glass dresser box that has beveled edges and etching with the name of JESSIE on the top and dating to the 1930's. The box is not flimsy, it has good weight to it. The top has butterflies around the name Jessie, 3 sides have a spray of flowers etched and the fourth has no etching or beveling. The bottom has beveling. The box has a silk type beige mat on the bottom, possibly homemade but done some time ago. The box sits on four metal bun feet. I believe the metal to be plated with what looks like nickel. Some of the plating is wearing through due to age. The box measures approximately 9 1/2 inches long and had a width of approximately 7 1/4 inches and has a height of approximately 4 3/4 inches. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs only some wear and oxidation to the metal trim. For sale is a shaving mug made by KPM (Konigliche Porzellan Manfaktur). Marked on the bottom and dating to approximately 1920 the mug is in excellent shape with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is gilding wear most noticeably around the rim (where it would have been wiped off after using). The thin gilt stenciled border on the inside of the rim of the cup is almost gone. Artist Signed PICKARD Poppy Bowl
For sale is a bowl decorated with poppies by the Pickard China Co. The bowl is marked on the bottom with "handpainted china Pickard" in a circle. There is also more marks in green along with the words "LOUISE" Bavaria. These extra marks are what I believe to be the by the company that made the blank porcelain bowl. I looked up the mark and it is a company called Marktredwitz (Germany, Bavaria). The bowl also has a wide gilt banding on the inside lip and a circle on the bottom of the bowl that is gilt. Bowl is signed by the artist WAGNER. The bowl has a diameter of approximately 9 1/2 inches and stands approximately 3 1/2 inches. Bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. For sale is large pickard charger that is artist signed by Marker. It dates to approximately 1915. Charger measures from end of handle to end of handle approximately 13 1/4 inches and 12 1/4 inches from top to bottom. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Antique JAPANESE Lacquer Box
For sale is a Japanese antique lacquer box with a scene painted on the top with people. The scene is very detailed and well done with gold work. I believe the box to date around the late 19th century or very early 20th century. The box has some overall chipping to the lacquer work including the painted scene. There is also a crackling (alligatoring) of the painted scene due to age. This is a very nice looking box that has mellowed well with age and is not meant for the person who wants it to look like it is new. I have not touched the box in anyway and am not sure if the scene could be cleaned up by a professional as it looks somewhat darkened.
