3 pc Anchor Hocking Medallion Clear Pressed Star Circle 4 1/2 in Bowls
Here is a nice set of three (3) small bowls that are perfect for serving fruit or vegetables. So many dish sets today don't come with this size bowl and it is a pity as this is one of the most useful sizes and shapes there is. Bowls are 4 1/2 inches across at the rim and 1 3/4 inches tall. This is the Medallion pattern by Anchor Hocking, a retro design featuring ovals with pressed stars. Bowls are in excellent condition, free of chips or cracks and with virtually no wear. Charm Azurite Blue Square Cup Saucers Anchor Hocking Glass 1950s Bonus
Here are two vintage glass blue square cup and saucer sets from Anchor Hocking that will bring retro charm to your breakfast coffee. This pattern is called Charm and the light translucent color is called azurite, and the glass dates to the early 1950s. This light blue color is soft and appealing with a contemporary feel. You are purchasing a set of two cups and two saucers. Cups are low and square shaped, pure mid century modern. They are just over 2 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches across at the rim. The matching saucers are a little under 5 1/2 inches across with cup rings. The underside has a ribbed design. All four pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks and virtually no wear. There is a bonus of three saucers, one with light wear and one cup. Bonus cup has nicks. Anchor Hocking Oranges & Tomatoes 5 oz Juice Tumbler
Here's a classic design to induldge yourself with your morning juice! Design is by Anchor Hocking from 1960 and called Oranges and Tomatoes. Pattern features a rows of juicy red tomatoes on the bottom and oranges on the top with a few blossoms and leaves thrown in.

1950s Vintage Country Estate Crystal 10 inch Salad Bowl
Here's a contemporary looking salad bowl with a wonderful organic texture. Bowl comes to us from Anchor Hocking, and it dates between 1940 and 1979. This pattern is called Country Estate.
The inside of the bowl is smooth and shiny. The outside is well-finished with raised, textured bands like bark or twigs. The outside texture makes the bowl look frosted and gives it a great dimensional appearance. In fact it is clear, not frosted.
There are no rough-feeling spots; it is well made and attractive. The bottom outside has small hobnails that catch the light and give it a finished look. Bowl is 10 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches deep. It is in as-new condition with no chips, no cracks and no wear. This would make a lovely gift for you or someone special.

Cambridge Decagon Peach-Blo Danthus Saucer Marked
Beautiful Decagon from Cambridge was made in the 1930s. The color is pink, which Cambridge called peach-blo or dianthus. It is a light candy pink without a trace of yellow or gray. Cambridge Glass Decagon Blue Deco Center Handled Server Tray CHS

Cambridge Decagon Light Blue Vintage 1930s Elegant Glass Saucer
Cambridge used their wonderful Decagon blank for many of their most spectacular etches, such as Cleo, yet it is perfectly beautiful on its own as shown by this cup. Decagon has a definite Art Deco look with the combination of angular and round shapes so characteristic of the 1930s. If you are looking to extend your collection of etched Decagon, consider adding a few plain pieces. Or better yet, consider this beautiful glass on its own merits!
This is Cambridge Glass' lighter shade of blue called Bluebell, which is a true, sky blue. My reference book lists two sizes of saucers; this is 5 9/16 inches across from one flat edge to the other and has a cup ring to hold the coffee cup. If you are buying to match your existing set please be sure to check dimensions to avoid disappointment.
Saucer is in very good condition, free of chips or cracks. There is a small, 1/16 inch shallow rub mark on one tip. Saucer is marked with the Cambridge C in a triangle in the center.

Cambridge's elegant glass Portia has a pretty etched design of a basket overflowing with flowers and sprays of roses and daffodils. This low sherbert in Cambridge's popular Portia etch is a great shape to show off the pattern. The blank is #3131, which has an ornate stem that perfectly complements the elegant etch. Cambridge Square Cube Base Comport 6in Wide 2 3/4in Tall
Here is the comport in Cambridge Glass' Square elegant glass pattern. This piece has the cube shaped base that elegantly holds the rounded comport top. This would be gorgeous on a table showing off its crystal clear glass or holding potpourri, candies or floating a single perfect rose. Cambridge made Square from 1949 to the mid-1950s and was one of their last patterns introduced before Cambridge Glass went bankrupt. Comport (or compote in older patterns) is 6 inches wide at the top rim and about 2 3/4 inches tall. The square base has a ground rim and is hollow. Cambridge Rosalie Etch Crystal Juice Flat 3 1/2 inch Tumbler
Here is a very unusual tumbler in Cambridge Glass' crystal Rosalie, etch number 731. Cambridge made Rosalie from 1928 to 1938 in a variety of stems, tumblers and serving pieces. The etch is distinctive with a square spiral centering swags of leaves, rose buds and full blooming cabbage roses. Tumbler has straight sides and flat bottom. There is a vertical optic that makes the pattern seem to move and shimmer. Tumbler is 3 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/8 inches across at the lip. Here is a water goblet in Cambridge Glass' crystal Rosalie, etch number 731. The blank appears to be number 3051, with a narrow vertical opotic in the bowl and a classic, simple flared stem and round foot. Cambridge made Rosalie from 1928 to 1938 in a variety of stems, tumblers and serving pieces. Cambridge Amber Elegant Glass 2pc Cheese & Cracker Set
Here is a beautiful cheese and cracker set in amber elegant glass. This has a small, footed, stemmed comport for the cheese that sets in a special plate. The plate has a ground base with an impressed star and subtle optic panels that ring the interior but do not extend to the rim. Neither piece is marked and were identified as Cambridge based on the stem shape of the cheese comport. These are niftyy pieces that are perfect for parties. You can put a cheese ball in the small comport and crackers or, if you prefer nutritious snacks, vegetables on the plate. This is a rich, deep shade of amber that will be wonderful in your home! Cambridge Glass etch number 704 is simply beautiful! It has etched scrolls that loop and swirl around, almost looking like wings, below a border of open windows like motifs. The author Gene Florence christened this Windows Border to honor the simple border design. Here is the cup and saucer set in Cambridge's beautiful amber color. Cambridge's amber is a rich honey with overtones of burn sienna; it is totally unlike some of the vague brownish yellow or light oranges. The cup is blank 3060, which is round with gracefully flared sides. The base ring is ground and the cup is marked with the Cambridge C in a triangle. Cup is 2 3/8 inches tall and 3 5/8 inches across at the lip. Saucer is 5 3/4 inches across and has a cup ring. Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition. There are couple of tiny, shallow pinholes on the rim that look like popped bubbles. The cup is otherwise fine, free of chips or cracks and the only wear is very light on the ground base rim. Cambridge Etch 727 Green Rolled Rim 11 1/2 inch Console Bowl
Here is a gorgeous etch from Cambridge Glass and in green! This is etch 727 which reminds me of clover blossoms or cotton puffs scrolling around wide open daisies. This is a wide band on the rolled edge of the console bowl, which is great because you can see the etch even if the bowl is full. Console bowls were made to display on a side table or as a centerpiece and are among the signature pieces of elegant depression glass. Bowl is Cambridge's wonderful green with the etching around the rim. The base is molded and bowl is not marked. It is in very good condition and looks great. It is 11 1/2 inches across from rim to rim and about 2 3/4 inches tall. There are a few points to describe. Bowl has no cracks and no nicks or rough spots other than a couple of pinhole nicks in the base rim on the bottom of the bowl which are in the close up photo. The glass has good clarity. Looking at it lying on the table it looks great. There is moderately light wear around the edge of the top rim that looks to be from stacking. The most noticeable scratch is 1/2 inch long. The base has wear as well, which is expected for vintage glass. |
