Old SMOKEY BEAR Paper Litter Bag Denver Co Fire Prevent
Here is a 1950's paper litter bag that was given out at the National City Bank of Denver. It was distributed by South Denver Kiwanis Club. The blue background color is really bright.
It's probably one of the oldest bags I have and I've had these for over 10 years. It's time to share some of these wonderful items with others.
Measures 7 1/2" x 11 1/2" - Unused.

SMOKEY BEAR Obscene poster pulled from distribution BIC
Here is the famous Smokey bear poster in conjunction with Bic pens that did this ad in 1978. Everything looked fine until it was viewed at a distance. This poster didn't stay on the market long at all before it was an embarrassment to the forest service. Every Smokey bear collector needs this in their collection. View this slogan at a distance and notice how the "L" and the "I" seems to "flow" together to form one letter instead of 2. These posters were produced in cardboard and slick paper. This is the paper one which was sent to stores to put up inside, of which most were recalled and never made it there. They are also the hardest to come by because they were so large and the paper being thin they would tear easy when taken down. This poster is mint and out of my personal collection which I'm sorting out some of the items to share with other smokey bear collectors. This poster will be sent rolled up in a mailing tube. It measures 12 ˝" x 18".

Frederick Hart Creation Poster National Cathedral
This is a new poster of "Creation" by Frederick E. Hart, Sculptor at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. It has been stored flat, but will be shipped in a roll. It measures 30" x 24". No holes, tears or creases. Old stock. Photograph by Darrell Acree 1990.
There is a glare in each picture. I found this hard to photograph - sorry!

Description: Original light brown pictorial cloth with dark brown picture and printing. (Almost a green brown?) Corners and spine edges show wear and fraying. Binding holding strong with no tears, marks or creases to the pages. Previous owners name in ink on cover (see picture).
Fishing stories, mostly the exploits of the Blue Ridge Rod and Gun Club on the upper Potomac and its tributaries, plus a few from other locales including Utah. The drawings by Berryman are caricatures of members of the Club, plus former Presidents Grover Cleveland and Theodore Roosevelt. Several black and white photographs including Issak Walton. Wonderful selection.
