1930 Beyer New Ulm MN Paul Revere SILHOUETTE Pic Therm.
These SILHOUETTE advertising pictures were made at the Newton Mfg.Co. in Newton Iowa & had so many unique scenes. This 8 x 6 inch one features the reverse painted silhouette of Paul Revere's Revolutionary War Ride. It is MINT & ALL ORIGINAL - the background lithograph is of the road & houses - a working thermometer (WHICH IS A RARITY) is cut into the picture - black metal frame with backing & the black cord hanger. Hard to find BLUE convex bubble glass silhouette depicting a couple by a pond is compliments of Art Gulden Searles,MN.- (I believe it was a liquor store). MUST SEE PICS! (There are a few glares from the curved glass that are not there.) It has a white leather like paper background & perfect thermometer (not always the case). Gibbon MN. SILHOUETTE Johnson Auto Dealer Pic. Therm.
This is an all original advertising picture made for C.J.Johnson & Sons - Chrysler & Plymouth Motor Cars - Tydol gasoline - Veedol Motor oils - Gibbon - phone 8 - Minnesota by the Newton Mfg. Co. The black silhouette of a lady in the rocker - other black touches - floor & curtains are reverse painted on the glass. The walls are textured cream paper with a lithographed yard w/ gardens the scene through the window. Working (which so many are not) thermometer in the center of the third layer. Picture is MINT, but the metal frame does have a lot of age wear - so we have to grade it very good. |

A fabulous silent movie intermission slide (3.25"X4") advertises BEAU BRUMMEL SHIRTS and has man w/ mustache buttoning his cuffs. Made by the Kansas City Slide Co., it came out of a closed movie/opera house in So. MN - "A real combination of style and comfort - They look right They feel right The're made right" One side of slide is broken, but easily replaced - graphic image appears fine. Looks great lit up. |

Vintage OshKosh B'Gosh 1920s tin ADV Sign
This ORIGINAL 1920's TIN sign was purchased from a former shoe/clothing store in Sleepy Eye, MN - MUST SEE NEW PICS! It is a deep cobalt blue with red/white lettering & logo - OSHKOSH B'GOSH UNION MADE OVERALLS. It is in fantastic condition for it's age - virtually like new OLD stock. There are a few minor tics, but I've got close ups of these and the worst shown with dime for scale. Must have been hung up at one time though as it has a slight distending to small holes in corners (2 @ top/bot center don't seem to have been used). Oblong sign measures 27.75 inches wide and 9&5/8ths inches tall. We would grade from 8.25 to 9.25 or VERY GOOD PLUS condition. A superb piece of Americana advertising - these jeans store display signs are increasingly scarce and HTF, especially in this nice condition. Manufactured by the 'Novelty Ar? (could be a v or a t) Co' - the rest we can't make out, it's a little unclear on the sign too and is in a tiny white line in the bottom right hand corner. Slide manufactured by Kansas City Slide Co. One corner on only one side of slide is cracked, tape is still intact, not affecting graphic. Looks great lit up giving a glowing rendering of fashion from the era. |

Rochester Dairy mini MILK CREAM bottle MINT!
This neat vintage cream/milk bottle came from the Rochester Dairy of Rochester, MN - MUST SEE PICS! Features the dairy's oval logo in a fired-on maroon color. Slight recess inside top, probably for a small cardboard insert. MINIATURE bottle is only an inch & 3/16ths of an inch tall (close to 1.25'') and the diameter across the bottom is 1.25 inches across. Don't know, but would guess this was a cream bottle, perhaps restaurant size and a real cute squat bottle. Free shipping included with $20 price.
