400 Year-Old Madonna And Child Coin
This ancient silver coin is famous for its beautiful Madonna and Child image. Hand-struck from 1540 through 1600 AD in what is now Hungary, it became one of Europe's most revered coins during Europe's late Renaissance Period. The front depicts the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus; the back has the date the coin was struck. This coin is authenticated to be at least 400 years old. In comes encapsulated in a presentation folder. Chinese Qing (1636-1911AD) Dynasty Coin
In the Qing Dynasty, silver and bronze coins were used as parallel standards. Those with large face value were in silver and those with small face values were in bronze. Before the Quing Dynasty rulers conquered areas south of the Great Wall, they had already minted two kinds of bronze coins, the Ting Ming and the Tian Fu Lin. Later Qing Emperor entered areas South of the Great Wall which initiated the outbreak of the 1911 Revolution and each minted a coin bearing his own Imperial Title. This bronze coin is authenticated to the Qing Dynasty. It measures 22mm. |

Acient Eqyptian Shell Coin
This amazing artifact dates to around 2400BC. It is a ring from a shell and represents the currency in use during that time. The value of the piece was relative to it's size, the smaller rings of the shell were worth less and the larger rings worth more. This shell has been amazingly preserved over the centuries. It was recovered from an Eqyptian pyramid during an archeological dig in the 1930's. It measures nearly an inch across at the widest point. Amazing piece of history |

Ancient Turquoise Facience Mummy Beads
These ancient Eqyptian beads were used to decorate the chest shields placed over a mummy before entombment. They date to 1500BC - 300BC. These beads are amazingly resilient to appear so fragile. This set consists of seven long turquoise colored tube beads along with eighteen red colored disc shaped beads. The beads were dyed by a natural process to acheive the colors and amazingly, the colors have remained vivid. The tubes measure from 3/4 inch to 1 1/4 inches. They are currently strung on a 24 inch sterling silver chain for ease of display and storage. Overall the beads are in fabulous condition. Very interesting artifact. |

This fabulous solid silver Spanish Reale is also known as a Pillar Dollar or a Piece of Eight. These were the first American Silver Dollars ever minted (see listing for a similar coin in the U.S. Silver Coins category for more details). This coin is dated 1788 and is in MS-63 condition or better. Minimal chop markings. Excellent, sharp details. This coin has been mounted in a sterling silver ribbed frame and suspended from a long silvertone link chain. The rim is hallmarked sterling. The pendant measures 1 3/4 inches across. The chain is ordinary, and slips over the head. No clasp. This is an extraordinary find in exceptional condition. Very Rare item! |
