Art Deco Wooden Nursery Pictures
s an unusual find - two small nursery pictures on what appears to be pine wood square tiles, painted black with a nursery transfer applied. These are very old indeed, from about the early 1900's at least, probably 1910-20's. Minor surface wear but mostly around the outer edges and easily touched up. They are pictures from famous nursery rhymes, Jack and Jill Went Up The Hill and Little Jack Horner Sat In The Corner. They measure just under 4" inches square and the thickness is 1/4" inch. They both have little hanging tabs glued on the back. Absolutely charming |

Oil Painting on Glass, Southern Belle in Garden
A very charming hand painted picture on glass with pale pink satin under the glass. This beautiful early 1900's picture depicts a southern belle sitting in a garden, she holds a basket of pale pink and blue flowers over one arm and she is gazing up at two birds fluttering around a bird house. Many beautiful flowers in the garden in delicate shades of lilac, lavender, pink and mint green. She wears a lovely pink and white dress with blue flowers at the sleeves and a large black bow at the back to match the ribbons in her bonnet. Her hair is dressed in ringlets and this delightful work may even date back as far as the Victorian era, although I believe it is around 1900 - 1920. The painting is in perfect condition with absolutely no flaws, no scuffing, no scratches and no loss of paint anywhere at all - and the colours are strong and vibrant. The glass is quite dirty and I have not dared to clean it for fear of inflicting any damage but have left in it's original as found condition. The frame is wood, painted black with an inner banding of gold. The frame itself shows very minor wear except for the paper backing covering the back which is very brittle and fragile and has been poorly taped at one corner, as I have shown in the picture. There is a small brass fixture on the back for hanging. I see no signature on this piece and have not attempted to take it apart to look for one. The measurements are 6-1/2" inches by 6-1/2" inches square, including the frame - the inside painting is 5-1/4" inches square. The frame has a few minor abrasions which are not at all noticeable, overall, this delightful and so charming oil painting has withstood the test of time extraordinarily well. This painting was done in oils, the gown in particular shows some beautiful brush work. |

Gold Vermeil, Milk Glass & Faux Pearl Flower Brooch
A stunning early century gold vermeil brooch beautifully styled and very dimensional. A bouquet circle of gold hand wired and studded faux pearls 8m in size with an added layer of tinted blush pink and white swirled milk glass petals, crowned by a single 5m faux pearl nestled among five tiny textured leaves. This very impressive piece measures 2-1/2 inches wide x 2-1/4 inches tall and has a depth or height of almost one full inch. There is no damge anywhere, either to the gold vermeil or any wear on the faux pearls or milk glass. The close on the back is the old style C close. |

Victorian Rose GF Expanding Bangle Child's
Beautifully engraved child's rose gold filled expanding bangle with an elaborately engraved raised cartuche on the front. The initials appear to be either M.S. or perhaps A.S. Excellent vintage condition, shows minimal wear. Lovely engraving work all around the bangle. Inside diameter measures 2 inches, height is 3m.

Silvertone Photo Locket Art Nouveau Revival
A lovely Art Nouveau Revival silvertone photo locket that opens for photos or keepsakes. Intricately and ornately engraved, beautiful workmanship. This lovely photo locket measures 2 inches in height by 1-1/4 inches in width. There is a centre blank cartuche for the engraving of initials. There is a double strand chain and the locket hangs from the shorter chain of 19 inches and the second chain hangs lower by itself at a total length of 28 inches. Excellent condition, no flaws at all, please disregard centre black mark as a reflection of camera. |

Art Nouveau Necklace Lavaliere GF Czech Glass
A very stunning Art Nouveau Deco era lavaliere pendant necklace with a huge blue topaz color Czech glass multi-faceted open backed stone, claw set. There are four additional small stones, two along either side of the necklace accenting the incredibly beautiful deeply etched fan setting that was so popular during that era. The centre stone measures 3/4 inches tall by 1/2 inch across. The serpentine chain is a more recent addition to this piece and is marked gold filled on the fold over closure. The necklace measures 17 inches in total length and is in excellent vintage condition, the stone is crystal clear, no scratches, chips or flaws of any kind - just very brilliant with an incredible sparkle and such a lovely shade of blue. |

Art Nouveau Enamel & Brass Link Bracelet
This absolutely stunning example of Art Nouveau jewelery is truly breathtaking. A linked bracelet consisting of nine oval stations that have a classical Art Nouveau floral design in enamel over brass that has developed a deep rich patina that only time can bring. Each station has a design of an open pink and white flower, gently wrapped in green leaves on a black background. Condition is extremely good with only very minor loss of enamalling around the outer edges of some of the stations and then only noticeable under a jeweler's loupe. The bracelet measures 7-1/2 inches and will fit any average size wrist and is very comfortable to wear, it just molds to your wrist! Each station measures 1 inch by 1/2 inch and the bracelet has a fold over closure. This will become one of your most favorite pieces to wear and will be a delight for the connoisseur of Art Nouveau jewelery. |

Art Nouveau GF Photo Heart Locket Orig Photo
Such a unique and beautiful Heart shaped photo locket from the Art Nouveau era. The front is very slight indented giving a wonderful dimension to the piece. There are twelve multi-faceted clear diamante paste rhinestones embedded on the face with Art Nouveau stylistic etched detailing around the diamantes. The locket opens to reveal original celluloid inserts and an original photo of an elderly couple, possibly beloved grandparents of the original owner. I believe this may be a signed piece but I have not wanted to tamper with removing the photo. The locket is gold filled and in excellent condition. Measures 1-1/2 inches tall by 1 inch wide. |

Art Nouveau Gilted Glass Paste Brooch
2.25 A very beautiful and ornate gilted brooch of the Art Nouveau early 1900's era. This brooch is wonderfully hand crafted using a double layering technique whereby the second layer that has the raised repousse flowers with centre paste rhinestones and trailing leaves has been crafted separately and added on by a fastening over the bottom layer. There is a large oval glass cabochon marbled stone of a minty green color. The back has the older style of C close. Measures 2-1/4 inches wide from east to west and is 1-1/2 inches tall from north to south. Excellent condition and a very stunning piece indeed. |

Victorian Enamel & Silver Floral Bar Brooch
Such a dainty and feminine little Victorian brooch pin in high repousse relief silver with a large leaf and flower at either side of a bezel set cabochon enamel inset. This gorgeous brooch is from the Victorian era or very possibly earlier, it bears no hall markings but has tested positive for silver. It has the old C closure on the back and needs some silver cleaner but I have left in it's original condition with the patina intact. The width of this brooch is just under 1-3/4" from east to west. The bezel set enamel cabochon measures just under 1/2" inch wide by 1/4" inch north to south. Very beautifully worked with lovely detailing. |
