To Have and To Hold; A Call to Preserve the Lights of Michigan This movie tells us about lighthouses in Michigan. They are described as towers of timber, stone and concrete. Icons that benevolently pierce the night. These are the sentinels that faithfully guard out shores. They are monuments that silently serve the shoreline and guide the maritime wanderer home. 100 years ago the lights signaled danger to those at sea. Today they sound a different alarm and look to us for safe keeping.

From Moccasins to Main Street; A Journey Down the Old Chicago Road What is now known as US 12 began as a Native American foot trail. It later became a military road connecting Fort Detroit to Fort Dearborn in Chicago. It was traveled by explorers, missionaries and fur trappers, and once was the primary route for those heading west for new land. Eventually small communities appeared along it with just the right distance between them to refresh the horses of the stagecoach and replenish the water supply of the steam engine. This is the story of the evolution of transportation in Michigan along a narrow pathway from Detroit to Chicago. This is a journey down the Old Chicago Road. Equity Studios won the State of Michigan's History Association, first place award for this outstanding historical documentary in 2006.
