Our Feathered Friends Antique book by Phebe Westcott Humphreys Published 1905 By Thompson and Thomas Chicogo. A history of birds and Bird life, their habits, homes and instincts. Based on the highest authorities in natural history, but written in simple language for boys and girls to study. Illustrated.
Some pencil scribbling on the inside of the cover page, see the pic. There are beautiful color pics with copyright stamps 1900, so I believe that this is not the 1st edition. The photos are "life size" that are in color for some pics. Pages are in tact, with spotting on some, binding outside is in tact, but has separted on the inside, a professional would be able to fix this. And browning on the pages. For a book that is 101 years old, it is in good condition. |

Lace Baby Christening gown
This lovely Edwardian christening gown is adorable! Measuring only 7 inches shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and 32 inches long, how it has survived all these years boggles my mind. The lace trimming is so delicate, and I don't see any damage, they are what seems to be tiny flowers, even the ribbon in ivory color seems to be intact, with some fraying, and the cuffs are beautifully trimmed in lace.Please view the pictures! |

Antique Wood Picture Frame
This frame is wonderful! Hand cared flowers along the edge. The picture size would be 9.5 inches by 7.5 inches, the frame itself is 13.5 inches by 11.25 inches. There is a couple of knicks on the inside corners, over all in good condition. A beautiful piece! |

Antique Brass Door Knobs
Antique brass door knobs, in nice condition, one has a dent on the knob, there is some paint on them. They are two different styles, one smooth all around, the other has a ridge around the knob. Price is for both.

This lovely art glass banana, and pear are in very nice condition.
No chips or cracks. The banana is a blown glass that is clear with pigments of green yellow and ornage. The pear seems to be more of a solid color, and these are very nice! |

PAINTED SILHOUETTE CONVEX GLASS
This little pic measures with the frame 5.5 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. This is a reverse silhouette on bubble glass, with the original wood frame.
The glass has chips on the corners and along the edges of the glass where the frame is, but is not cracked chipped or broken on the pic, so it is hidded, the frame shows where with knicks and house paint spatters on it, but these are a harder to come by, and still a nice piece of history. |

Unique vintage ceramic piggy bank in the shape of a womans purse.The body is
in brown burlap bag style.The gold color clasp has a torquois color pad lock.The bottom is stamped JAPAN in fine black ink print.The bank stands 6 inches high,5.5 inches wide at the widest point & 3 inches thick.The bank has $100,000 written on it in gold color in front.Of course there is wear on this bank as you can see on the photo.Also it has a tiny hole on the back.Please look at the photos.There is a chip on the 1st 0 of the $100,000 & 2 small chips on the front on the burlap motif.Great piece for a collection. |

The colors are bright, the stopper is there, there is some rubbing on the top, a dot of paint missing on the arm of the chair and a scuff mark on the face. There is one page for every letter in the alphabet, and a starting page with introduction, and an ending page.
This is beautiful, and a real keep sake.
Caligraphy done in garden style, each front of the page has a letter and the back has a vegetable or fruit to describe the letter.
Breath taking.
There is a crease on the cover book, the cloth book mark is in tact, the first page has a crease (cover) but the rest is in mint condition! |

Inscribed inside Little Maude Christmas 1886. 2nd page Pictures and versus. All Platelets are included. I love reading this book over and over again. A beautiful book! Out side binding is intact, wear on the top and bottom corner, pages are lifting on the inside, separating from the binding. The last page is taped to the back cover, I don't think that they realized how to bind the book when it was being put together, with the platelets there is no flexibility, other then to expect separation. The last 2 pages have the most wear, the corners have been rubbed off, there is some spotting on some of the pages. Wow!!! This book is 120 yrs old! For it's age, I think the condition is acceptable. I like to give very detailed booboos on books, as a collector I like to know what I am getting myself into. |

Cross Creek Cookery by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. 1st edition with drawings of the recipes included. Cloth bound book, no rips on the cloth, the book has shifted or is bent, look at the pics. The back cover is starting to separate. Most of the pages are in excellent condition, some grease spots where gramma was cooking and following the recipes. Great addition to any kitchen collecting memorabilia. The book has a name Elenor in pencil. And again in pen possesion is 9/10s of the law. Elenor had been Printed in New York by Charles Scribners sons 1942. Looks like the ink from the inside cover has soaked through to the 1st 4 pages of the book. I've taken pics of the areas that aren't perfect, still a book that is hard to come by filled with some really great recipes! |

This book come from an elderly lady who was married for 60 years a few years ago. T
he book is very well worn to the point of the cover being faded and the pages yellowed.I can barely make out the writing on the hard cover saying "BLUE RIBBON "in blue color "TWENTY FIRST EDITION COOK BOOK"
It also has a few hand written recipes such as---Pork Sausage---Rum and Butter Cake----Dill;;; Pickles (no vinegar)----In towards the back there are brightly colored pages in blue ,red,and yellow telling how to make Blue Ribbon Tea and Coffee and advertisement pages about Blue Ribbon Coffee,Blue Ribbon Baking Powder,Pure flavoring extracts etc.
It has help for table service and how to do many things.I cannot find any place the copywrite year.
This book was a must for all housewives to help them with all the kitchen duties including foods and its uses,food for children, adults , aged, how to reduce in weight, how to gain in weight, meal planning, etc.
There are a 144 numbered pages and 15 unnumbered pages in which the index, advertisements and hand written recipes are. |
