This is the first time I have found this color in Corning Ware. It is 1.6 liters. The collection number is F-5-B. It is the same pattern as the French White only this piece is see through purple or amythest. It is used with no defects and really a neat, unusual piece.
8 in. lunch plates in the Sculptured Rim pattern of Centura. The rim has rows of tulips around the border. Some of the these are stamped Centura, some Pyroceram, some Corning. The pattern is all the same and they look the same. Circa: 1972 Origin: USA Condition: Used but very nice. There could be minor scratches since they are used but not chips or cracks or other damage.
9 in. lunch plates in plain white made of Pyroceram which is like Centura only microwavable. These plates have the 3/4 in. wide plain rim, no pattern at all. I do not have the actual name of the pattern. They last a lifetime and are very hard to find. There are some minor scratches but nothing bad.
Vintage Corning Ware Blue Cornflower 6 Cup Teapot, #P-104. Corning Ware was first produced in 1957, it is made of a special material called Pyroceram. Pyroceram was invented in the late 1950's and is a special mixture of glass and crystalline ceramic that Corning Ware holds the patent on, it is made to withstand both heat and cold. Several years ago Corning Ware was sold and they are no longer made of pyroceram like the earlier pieces, newer pieces are marked Made in China and are made of a ceramic material. This teapot is the Cornflower pattern, it was the most popular pattern and longest pattern produced by Corning, introduced in 1957 and discontinued in 1988. This teapot is the medium size, it holds six cups, p-104 and has the metal lid. It is 5 inches tall to the top of the handle, is in lovely condition, no chips, bottom and inside rim has some marks on the inside from the lid being pulled off and on, not visible from outside. It has the shinny finish style lid, one of the harder to find styles. It would be a wonderful addition to your set or perfect for everyday use! Please see our other listings for additional pieces in this pattern.
