Cabinet Cup And Saucer Floral Gold Crown Staffordshire
This is a fabulous English bone china demitasse cabinet teacup and saucer set or mocha shape expresso cup and saucer made by Crown Staffordshire, England in the 1950s. The cup and saucer is exquisite. The cup measures 2 inches high and the saucer is 4.75 in diameter. The set has a deep cobalt blue ground on white bone china with gold filagree, arabesques and grapes and hand painted floral bouquets. The cup and saucer is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Because the artist hand painted the interior design with a brush, there is an occasional speck or mark from the brush in the cup which is not considered a flaw and is normal for hand painted items. Beautiful workmanship and an elegant way to sip your espresso. Crown Staffordshire closed in 1981.

The 7.5 inch in diameter collector plate was 8th in the series and is called the Monarch Of The Glen and features an elk or buck deer and doe that are raised a bit from the bone china plate. The plate is signed by the artist and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
Candle Holders Crown Staffordshire Flowers England Pair
These exquisite bone china candle holders were made in the 1940s by the Crown Staffordshire pottery of Staffordshire, England. The 2 pale yellow candleholders each measure 2.5 inches high by 3.5 inches in diameter and are each adorned with 3 hand made bone china roses. The candle holders have scalloped rims and gold trim. They are in very good condition. The only flaw are 3 tiny petal rim chips. I have seen this done at a factory and talk about labor intensive! Hand made bone china flowers are no longer made as all the factories have closed, Crown Staffordshire closed in 1981!
Originally a set of 4, the 3 remaining plates command attention on their own, with their vividly colored, life-like renderings of the game birds! Measuring 5 ¼ square with a gold edge, there is no damage. Marked: Crown Staffordshire, England, Est 1801, under each plate. I identified the birds as best I could, & came up with: Gray Partridge, Ring-Necked Pheasant, & Blue Grouse (?).
