John Maddock & Sons Indian Tree Large Serving Platter, Made in England. The estimated age on this piece dates to the 1930s, possibly older. It has brilliant colors of pink, green and some dark blue along with a gold trim that is intact. It is 14 inches long and 11 1/4 inches across, it is in excellent condition, no chips and no wear. It is marked on the back with a lion crest, Maddock, England, Viterous.
A souvenir pottery collected in Dartmouth Devon by tourists, has now become a highly collected pottery. The charming mottos, words to live, by enhance this red clay slipware. This is a small cup 2.25 x2.5 with the motto: Smile It Pays In excellent condition.
John Maddock and Sons Royal Semi Porcelain compote, or comport, with beautiful, hand painted roses. This wonderful compote, having fluted corners, features an eye-appealing, serene setting of three, full red roses amidst a bed of lush foliage. Incorporated into the design (and inverted) are the artist's initials: J R. Framing the design is a wide, light green border. This is a rare, and truly beautiful, work of art, hand painted so many years ago. A piece like this doesn't come up very often! Made in England. Circa: 1891-1912. Size: 4 1/8 inches tall; 7 3/4 inches wide. Condition: Very good, with some normal age crazing.
