Royal Doulton Fagin Plate Charger Noke Dickensware Seriesware
This is an older Royal Doulton, England seriesware or Dickensware large plate or charger depicting Fagin from Charles Dicken's Oliver Twist. The 10.25 inch in diameter plate has the number D3020 which denotes 1903-1910. The plate is signed Noke for Charles Noke, the designer, by Fagin's foot. The plate has a green border and is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks and very few and minor signs of wear. A wonderful find from the back of the warehouse from an antiques faire in Gloucester in the snow on an English buying trip.
Royal Doulton China Blueberry Creamer. This pattern features a trim with a blueberry pattern on a yellow background with a white center and was produced in 2005. Royal Doulton Plate King Arthur's Knights Nokes Series Ware
This is an antique Royal Doulton, England series ware plate, number 5 in the series called King Arthur's Knights showing called The Tournament and is pattern number D2961 showing 2 knights on horseback with lances for jousting with an heraldic border. The plate measures 9.75 inches in diameter and was made between 1908-1931 while Charles Noke was art director. The hand colored on brown transfer plate in in very good +++ condition with minor signs or use, the normal glaze crazing for pieces of this age, no chips and a tight firing crack on the back that does not go through and is under the glaze that was made during manufacturing. A wonderful design.
