Vintage Santa Anita Ware Chartreuse Green Serving Bowl
I am pleased to offer to you this Vintage Santa Anita Ware Chartreuse Green Serving Bowl. This bowl is a nice size, 9 1/4 inches across and just over 3 1/2 inches deep, it is marked on the bottom with Santa Anita Ware, Made in California. It is in good condition, does have one very small flat chip on the edge, not really that noticeable. It would be a lovely addition to your set or great for everyday use!
Vintage Candy Dish, Santa Anita Ware, R-100. This rare dish is 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 . It is a leaf with a yellow squash at one end. This is a hard-to-find item. Other than a tiny little discoloration under the glaze on the inside bottom of the dish, it is in very good vintage condition. It is marked Santa Anita Ware Calif R-100 .
Rare Vintage Plate, Santa Anita Ware, Vreni. This plate measures 10 1/2 inches. It is hand-painted in dark brown spirals over an off-white color with yellow trim and a yellow apple in the center. This style was designed by Vreni for the California Pottery, Santa Anita Ware, in early 1950. Inside of the spiral is a beautiful yellow apple. It has three very small glaze rubs on the rim, common to this piece, as per the photos. It is signed on the back, Vreni, Santa Anita Ware, Copywrite. I have researched this piece and have not found even one, (1), for sale, or even an image for example. It is a very scarce item.
Vintage Salad Plate, Santa Anita Ware, Made in California, 1950, Flowers of Hawaii, Night Blooming Cereus. They are 6 5/8 in diameter. Santa Anita Ware was in business from 1930 to the 1960's. These were produced in 1950. Rich dark green leaves frame the beautiful soft white and yellow flowers. They are in very good condition. The colors are bright; the dishes show no stains, chips or cracks, and display minimal signs of use. They have the Santa Anita Ware Flowers of Hawaii mark on the back.
