Two handled, oval serving bowl with open lattice work edges. White background with multi-colored floral designs and pink ribbons, rust colored rim. Stamped on the back: BAVARIA - SCHUMANN. Circa 1918 - 1929. Measures 12 3/4 from handle to handle and 2 1/4 deep. Base has 1/8 chip, (does not affect level sitting), otherwise good condition.

These are dinner plates manufactured by Schumann-Bavaria, Germany. The pattern on this is a pretty pink flower. I do not know its name. I tried to find out before I listed it, but could not find any more like it. (If anyone knows the pattern name / general info/ please contact me.) They have gold trim. I have twelve (12) of these available for sale. The listed price is for ONE plate. These plates are not perfect. They are not scratched or chipped. They just slow slight wear. This is a Max Schonfeldt Sierra 10 wide and 11 5/8 handle to handle cake plate. It is an ironstone with an eggshell body. It has yellow & brown geometric pattern and yellow rings in the center. It is in excellent condition.

A striking large plate made by Schumann China of Arzberg, Germany in their lovely Melrose pattern. White base with transfer red and pink roses in a circle bordered with a pierced rim (a reticulated plate) using a line motif that is rimmed on both sides with gold and periodic gold vertical lines. Plate is 10 sided and is porcelain (it is translucent). Fully marked on underside base with the Schumann crown and lion emblem under which it states Schumann Arzberg Germany with the Melrose pattern name in an emblem along with E . Nearby is the number 72 in green. Measures about 11 inches diameter and sits 1 1/4 inches in height. We believe this was meant to be a serving piece, perhaps a cake or large dessert serving plate from the style, and has been referred to as a Service Plate or Charger. We don't know the age for certain, it came out of an elderly person's home along with other antique and vintage items, and believe it, too, to be vintage, perhaps from the 1930's or 1940's. We've provided 8 images including close-ups of the design and manufacturer mark. Please note that the shiny glazed surface and gold trimming caused white hot spots in the images from the camera lighting. For shipping purposes, this plate weighs over 1 pound unpacked. Wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are no breaks or pieces missing in the pierced edging. The plate was used as we can see some top side surface scratches in the white center portion which you only see when holding the plate at an angle in bright light. They are there if you go looking, some longer and shorter lines, but nothing really bad or which takes away from the plate or would effect it's use or display. On close inspection you can see dots of missing, worn and/or incomplete transferring on the roses, and two spots of folded/incomplete transfer on the rose petals, but most wouldn't notice this. The gold trimming is in excellent shape with just a touch of wear in spots. The underside rim on which the plate sits shows a bit of expected wear. Really there is nothing major here to worry about, just a stunning plate. Would make a great addition to any collection of this pretty Melrose pattern or one of Schumman Bavarian china overall. This would also make a nice gift for anyone fond of roses in general. This is a discontinued Schumann pattern.

This is a most unsual piece from Germany made by Schumann. It is colorful and pretty neat looking. It is a Schumann Multicolor Abstract People & Creatures Oval Platter which measures 15 in. x 11 in. It would be a conversation piece on a buffet table or afternoon tea if not with a complete set of china in the same pattern. Origin: Germany Circa: Unknown Condition: Used no damage

This is a lovely sugar with lid by Schumann/Bavaria Arzberg. The pattern is SCH49. Gray castle, house, river, floral rim. Measures 3 1/8 tall without lid. The knob on the lid broke off, but, it has been glued back on. This does not take away from the beauty or functionallity. Lovely piece. Clean, in good condition and SHINY IN AND OUT.

Schumann Bavaria Dresden Art Reticulated Pierced Border Plate. This is a stunning piece! Made by Schumann Bavaria it has a Dresden Art floral center pattern, trimmed in gold it has a reticulated or pierced border. It is about 10 1/4 inches across, is in excellent condition, no chips, unmarked but was made by Schumann. It would be a beautiful addition to your collection or decor!

Beautiful Bavara Schumann Arzberg Pheasant Game Bird Plate. Pictures do not do this plate justice, it has wonderful vibrant colors! There are a male and female pheasant, each done in beautiful colors with outstanding details against a background of grasses and leaves. It measures 11 3/4 inches across and is in mint condition, no chips or cracks. It is marked on the back with Bavaria, Schumann, Arzberg Germany and would be a delightful addition to your collection!

Beautiful Bavara Schumann Arzberg Sm Pheasant Game Bird Plate. This plate has two pheasants, one perched on a branch and one flying. Each on is done in beautiful colors with outstanding details against a background of colorful flowers with a luster trim. It measures just over 5 1/4 inches across and is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks but does have some wear to the luster trim. It is marked on the back with Bavaria, Schumann and would be a delightful addition to your collection!

This is a lovely and hard to find Schumann Bavaria gravy boat with underplate. The gravy boat is decorated with a scroll design and trimmed in gold. The gravy boat measures 8 inches in length. The piece may be part of the Gold Scrolls pattern but I am not certain of this. There is some slight wear to the trim at the handle. Otherwise this piece is in excellent condition.
