Duck Bowl, vintage, Sigma the Tastesetter, Portugal. This very creative oval duck bowl is 6 long and 3 3/4 wide. It is 5 1/4 to the top of the duck's head. It is marked Ovenware so it must be save in the oven. The lid is beautifully embossed like a duck in black, white, gray, light blue with a yellow bill. The bottom of the bowl is a warm brown color. There is a small glaze crack on the interior of the lid. It is otherwise in very good vintage condition with the Sigma mark.

This Kilban cat creamer was manufactured and sold by the New York Based firm, Sigma the Tastesetter. Description. This beautiful black and white striped cat is beautifully designed and he is decorated with a red bow on his tail. Condition. The creamer is new and in mint condition. There are no chips, cracks, no paint missing. It measures inches tall 8 inches long. The Sigma label is on the bottom. M.D. 5/4/13
Mug, Sigma the Tastesetter, Les Artisans, Towle Company, 1983, Made in Japan. This mug is 3 3/4 tall. It is embossed on one side with a blond woman in a pink and aqua-blue outfit, sitting at a table, having her pancakes and drinking a cup of coffee. In addition to this very pretty lady, there is a 3/4 border of pink and white squares embossed around the bottom outside edge. The effect is very warm and lovely. It is in like-new condition with the Sigma the Tastesetter mark and a Made in Japan label.
Vintage Utensil Holder, Sigma The Tastesetter, Les Artisans , 1983. This collectible kitchen item is 8 1/2 tall and 3 3/4' wide across the utensil opening. The chef is holding a chicken in a pot. The holder is in excellent condition. It has the Sigma The Tastesetter Les Artisans mark.
Vintage Oval Bowl, Sigma the Tastesetter 1983, Green Ware, by Andrea West. This lovely oval bowl measures 12 3/8 from handle to handle and is 5 wide. It is beautifully embossed on each side with light brown and black chickens. It has a pink flower embossed on each end and is trimmed all over in light green. The bowl has light crazing but is otherwise in excellent condition. It has the Sigma by Andrea West mark.
Kliban Cat Bank, Sigma the Tastesetter, vintage 1980's. This rare bank measures 9 long and 4 1/2 high. The cat is hand-decorated, in black and white, with red and white sneakers. In 1962, Bernard Kliban became a Playboy cartoonist, contributing cartoons until his death. He is best known for the book Cat , a collection of cartoons about cats drawn in Kliban's distinctive style. The cat cartoons were discovered by Playboy editor Michelle Urry and the 1975 book Cat was born. This led to several other books of cartoons ending with Advanced Cartooning in 1993. Since Cat, his cartoons have adorned many products including stickers, calendars, mugs, and t-shirts. Mr. Kliban died in 1990. Other than a 2/16 chip on his left ear, and some normal paint wear on his sneakers, the cat is in good vintage condition. It has the Sigma the Tastesetter label on the base.
Handled Bowl, Sigma the Tastesetter, Designed by Andrea West. This lovely bowl is hand decorated. It measures 6 in diameter and is 4 high--7 1/8 to the top of the handle. The bowl is designed like a picnic basket with a square handle. There is a white cloth lining its interior that hangs draped over the edge all the way around. Red cherries and a bright green rim decorate the pointed edges of the cloth around the bowl. There is a small 3/8 factory-done separation of the glaze on one side (see second picture). Aside from that it is in good condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom has a Sigma the Tastesetter Andrea West mark and label.
Pitcher, Duck, Sigma the Tastesetter, the Decorative Kitchen, 1983. This hand-crafted duck pitcher is 7 tall. It has the duck embossed on both sides. With the exception of a couple of pinhead fleabites, it is in great condition with no chips or cracks. It is marked The Decorative Kitchen Duck by Sigma the Tastesetter .
