Dragonware Souvenir Of Pennsacola, Florida Bud Vase
This is a dragonware bud vase, a souvenir of Pensacola, Florida. Dragonware is a form of moriage pottery or also known as slip work/slip clay which gives the piece a three dimensional appearance. Most pieces were made in Japan. This bud vase dates from the 1950's or a bit later. It measures 6 5/16 tall and 3 in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dings or other damage. Most of the items coming from Japan from this era were marked with a paper label that either said Japan or Made in Japan. These easily fell off. Be sure and check the photos carefully as they are part of the description and give a better idea as to condition and quality than I can give with the written word. Don't ever be afraid to make an offer. Oh, and I may have over estimated the shipping weight on this one so if I can get the box to weigh under 1 pound I will refund the difference as I only charge my actual cost. Happy Collecting !!!!

Souvenir China Old Germany Waterfalls Creamer Pitcher Niagra Falls Ny
Lovely small pitcher or creamer with a central multi-colored transfer graphic of a large waterfall with two boats near it. While it is not labelled to be a scenic souvenir china piece from Niagra Falls, that is what we believe this to be due to the size of the falls shown (which look like the American side or American Falls of Niagra Falls in New York State), the two boats in front of the falls (like the boats which tour near Niagra Falls such as the Maid of the Mist), and the Made in Germany marking on the underside base. Many old souvenir pieces from places like Niagra Falls had this kind of marking and were imported from European manufacturers. Surrounding the central waterfall graphic is an ornate design in gold paint, with this also repeated near the top rim, with a gold design on the backside and gold line trim on the top rim and at the topside of the handle. We do not know the age of this piece, but from the Made in Germany marking and piece style, we are guessing it dates back to the 1920s-1940s period pre-World War II. Measures about 3 1/4 inches in height, 3 1/2 inches in width and 2 1/4 inches in depth or the diameter of the round base. The base material for this piece is a white china or porcelain (this piece is translucent). We've provided 6 images including close-ups of the graphic and the country of origin marking. Please note that the white hot spots are lighting reflections from the camera on the glossy surface, and that this lighting blands out the piece a bit...the coloring looks richer, darker, more attractive in person than in the images. There is also an impressed number 3 on the underside base. Wonderful overall condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are minor age/wear flaws so this piece is not mint, but nothing major that detracts from its great appearance. There is some wear to the gold line trim and design areas (nothing really bad, but it is there), pin/pit/dark dots/transfer dots made in manufacture, some slight surface scratches (nothing bad here), a stray curved blue line under the front graphic area (this could be pen ink that might be removable we don't know, but are selling this as is/as found), a small circular brown spot on the interior base with a few other dark tiny dots (otherwide the inside is clean, this doesn't look like it was used for serving anything), other slight general age/wear, a little bit of wear to the underside base rim on which the piece sits (which supports age). A neat piece to add to a collection of souvenir pieces or memorabilia related to Niagra Falls, NY or waterfalls in general. Also a nice piece to add to any collection relating to waterfalls of any type or a small general creamer collection. Please note that we also have listed for sale another marked Niagra Falls souvenir piece, a Hazel Atlas souvenir glass mug; please see our other listings. We would be pleased to combine shipping to save you on postage costs. Please contact us prior to ordering so that we can calculate the combined shipping discount for you.
Enco Souvenir China Butter Pat Yellowstone National Park Old Faithful
Pretty little commemorative or souvenir china piece, a butter pat from Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming with a center graphic of the wonderful geyser, Old Faithful. The words Yellowstone National Park and Old Faithful appear above and below, respectively, the multi-colored graphic of the geyser shooting water into the sky in the middle of this small dish. There is an ornamental gold leaf design around the upper edge. On the backside the piece is labelled, Views of America Series by ENCO, 22 K. Gold , indicating that this piece was made by Enco using 22 karat gold for the leaf design on the topside and the manufacturer marking on the back. We do not know the age of this piece, it came out of a home, but believe it to be a vintage, antique or older item rather than new. Round butter pat measuring about 3 3/8 inches in diameter with a lower center section and sitting 1/2 inch in height. We've provided four images including close-ups of the center transfer design and manufacturer marking. Please note that the white hot spots are reflections from the camera lighting on the glossy surface. Very nice usuable overall condition but not mint. There are no chips, cracks or crazing, but there are multiple small scratches in the center graphic area. You don't notice these from a distance but close-up you can see them and that they do scratch through the graphic. There is some wear to the gold leaf design and the lettering (not bad but you can see close-up) and minor pin dots/transfer dots made in manufacture. This piece was used, perhaps in a restaurant as restaurant ware or in a home, but still has a great look. Nice addition to any collection of national park memorabilia or souvenir items particularly relating to Yellowstone in the state of Wyoming. Would also make a great addition to a general butter pat collection.
Currier & Ives China, Whetstone Point, Baltimore, Md, Delano Studios
Attractive china, ceramic or pottery plate (this piece is not porcelain as it is not translucent) with central transfer decor showing a port scene of Baltimore, Maryland near Whetstone Point, Maryland. This plate is fully marked on the underside as being a Currier and Ives Reproduction from their Americana Series. It was made by Delano Studios of Setauket, New York for Sun Glo Studios, with this also marked on the underside base. Round white china plate with scalloped edge having a molded raised decor around the outer band with lines, scrolls, cross-hatching and dots. Lower interior center has multi-colored transfer graphic in greens, grays, blue and tan/beige. Scene shows what we believe to be the port in Baltimore with small buildings in the background, sailing ships in the harbor, and green grass with animals grazing, cows and steers, in the foreground. Vintage plate measures about 10 inches in diameter and sits 3/4 inch in height. We've provided 5 images, including front, back, close-ups of the interior graphic, molded border edging and mark. Please note that the white hot spots are lighting reflections on the glossy surface. The lighting blands out the central graphic a bit...the colors are brighter, richer and bolder in person than they appear in the images. Lovely overall condition with no chips, cracks or crazing but not mint. On close examination, there are a few tiny flakes on the outer edge, not chips but tiny flat worn spots on the glazed surface. There are some pin/pit dots, tiny black or transfer dots, and a few small scratches and a few small flat rubbed/worn spots on the interior graphic, nothing that jumps out at you but if you look closely at an angle in bright light you will see these scratches and spots. In the white pottery border around the central graphic (before the molded design outer band) on the right top side there is a small black slanted line about 1/4 inch in length. This is fully under the glazing so we don't know if this is a tiny hairline or just a stray line/transfer line on the pottery. On the backside there are some round spots where the glazing was imperfectly applied in manufacture and a bit of expected wear/darkening on the underside rim on which the piece sits. Nothing bad here at all and nothing that detracts from the great look on display, but if you look closely you'll see these imperfections and should know they are there. A terrific piece to add to any Currier & Ives collection or a nice addition for any collection of items related to Maryland overall and Baltimore in specific. Would make a nice gift for a Baltimore history buff.
