This is the 6 plate in the Thistle pattern made by Stangl Pottery from 1951 through 1965. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good paint and detail of the Thistle design. There is an insignificant scratch or two from use and stacking. This plate is marked on the bottom Stangl Pottery Trenton, N.J. in an oval with the pattern name Thistle underneath (see photos) and is 6 1/4 in diameter.
This is the cup in the Golden Blossom pattern made by Stangl Pottery from 1964 through 1975. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good paint and detail of the Golden Blossom design. This cup is marked on the bottom Stangl Pottery Trenton, N.J. in an oval with Hand Painted above and Oven Proof and the pattern name Golden Blossom underneath (see photos) and is 3 1/8 high, 3 1/4 in diameter at the top and 4 1/4 across including the handle.
This is the sugar and lid in the Country Garden pattern made by Stangl Pottery from 1956 through 1974. It is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs and it has good paint and detail of the Country Garden design. There are two flakes on the upper edge near the opening and a very small chip on the underside edge of the lid (see photos). This sugar and lid is marked on the bottom Stangl in an oval (see photos) and is 3 13/16 high, 3 3/4 in diameter at its widest point and 6 across including the handles.
Dessert Plate, Stangl, Garden Flower. This plate measures 6 in diameter. There are two of these plates available. They show hardly any signs of wear and have the Stangl mark (see last photo).
Tid Bit Tray, Stangl, Fruit, 1950's. This beautiful tid bit tray from the 50's has a gold-toned handle. The plate measures 10 in diameter. There is a little wear on the handle. The plate shows no signs of use--it has a little glazed-over manufacturer's flaw on the underside edge. The piece has the Stangl Hand Painted mark.
Here is a blue and white Town & Country soup or cereal bowl by Stangl. This line was intruduced in 1974 and was only made four years until 1978. It is bright and shiny inside and out. Open Skillet Pan, Stangl, Golden Harvest, #3887, Vintage (RARE). Designer: Kay Hackett. The skillet is 6 1/4 in diameter. Stangl introduced this pattern in 1953, and it was featured in House & Garden magazine during the 50's. Other than a little glaze skip and a manufacturer's pinhead glaze pop, it is in excellent condition with the Stangl Pottery mark.
Vintage Stangl Pottery sandwich tidbit tray. c.1940's-60's. No chips or cracks and is 10 inches wide. Marked on bottom: Stangl Pottery Orchid Song, Dura-Fired. This mark is shown on pg. 209 of the 1988 Lehner's Book of Marks, mark 17. Stangl Pottery was in business from 1814-1978, so anything they made is quite collectible! (This very same plate is shown on pg. 67 of the 1994 book titled: Kitchen Collectibles by Diane Stoneback!)(see Dec. 2006 issue of Antiq. Roadshow mag; a stangl rooster sold for $7,000 at auction!)
