Size: 6 3/4 inches. Condition: Plate has heavy glaze crazing and a crack on the back in a limited area from where it had been held in a metal plate hanger. See last photo.

This is an ironstone souvenir brown transferware plate made for Niagra Falls, Canada by Wood and Sons, England in the 1940-1950s. The ironstone plate measures 10 inches in diameter and has vignettes of the falls, Maid Of The mist excursion boat, Hydro Floral Clock,Oneida Observation Tower, The Royal Centre, Skylon Tower and the Spanish Aero Car. The plate is in mint condition with no chips, cracks or wear. A neat souvenir!

This lovely English Village Scene plate is marked: Ascot Service Plate / by Wood n Son's / England / Decorative Wall Plate / Not A Dinnerware Pattern / #680-2. For considerably over two centuries the Wood family of Burslem has been in the forefront of those who are memorable in ceramic history. Enoch was a man of great enterprise, with a flair for invention, whose masterly craftsmanship served to build up the considerable business of Wood and Caldwell, a partnership which endured from 1790 to 1818. In the latter year he bought out his partner and took into the business his three sons, when the firm became known as Enoch Wood and Sons. Under this regime the firm achieved a great reputation, especially in America, for which profitable market Enoch designed his admirable and extensive range of the most artistic blue and white plates with rich and finely disposed borders encircling views of England, of which there are known 71 centers. The long history of the firm of Wood and Sons, Ltd. has been marked throughout by a policy of progressive development, the adaption of new ideas, methods and techniques. Yet, throughout the seven generations, from old Moses Wood to the present day, the standard of craftsmanship has been ever the backbone of their success story. The plate features a horse drawn cart with a man outside a farm house with several people about which is surrounded by a rim full of blooming flowers and leaves. I believe this came in a set of 4 plates each one having a differant scene of a village in the center of the plate surrounded by a green ring and alpine white ring with flowers and trimmed in gold. In very good + condition without chips, cracks or fleabites it does have light scratches in the green band which I have shown in my pictures and it measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter. This is an ironstone large plate, service plate or charger made by Wood and Sons, England for Princess House with a design called English Rural Scenes in their Ascot line in hand colored on brown transfer. The plate measures 10.75 inches in diameter and features an English village scene with thatched cottage, hunter green and burnished gold trim and floral rosettes. The plate was made in the 1970s and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear and has the original gold foil sticker on the back. A very decorative plate to display or to serve with.

Very RARE and extremely Large Antique Pitcher and Washbowl Set by Wood and Sons of England. The Pattern is Yuan. It is absolutley Gorgeous. It features a Phoenix Bird and Oriental Florals on both sides of the Pitcher and 3 sides of the outside perimeter of the Bowl. All in Flow Blue with a nice shiny glaze still present. A Poppy Flower pattern graces the top of the Pitcher and the rim of the Bowl. The Bowl actually has an 8 sided design on the rim. Both pieces are marked on the bottoms and are original to each other. It is Antique and as such the following needs to be noted, the Pitcher has an old hairline at the top and bottom of the handle along with a small flake chip at the spout. The Bowl has an old hairline on the inside bottom that does not extend from side to side, and a sliver chip off one side of the rim. We have tried to display all in the photos. This is such a Wonderful Find and a true Rare Antique, that anyone looking for an item such as this, we think would agree it is of little consequence due to the Stunning Beauty and Lovely Display of the Piece. This is an 8 3/4 inch salad plate by Wood and Sons. The pattern is Argyle, an old one. It was produced in 1928. The front of this plate is beautiful, with its blue and white floral design. There are gold accents on the scroll work on the rim. Unfortunately the back has 2 chips which I have shown in the photos. The low price reflects this. Stamped, impressed, and handwritten numbered 700 in gold. Mint condition on this Vintage English Ironstone Teapot. It has a lovely design of a yellow rose with pink and other yellow flowers surrounded by light and dark brown leaves. There is gold outlining the handle, spout, lid, and diameter around the top rim. It is gorgeous. Unusual shape.
