This is an unusual Arthur Wood blue and white floral tea pot. It is unusual because its handle is porcelain, like the tea pot. And, it is made in one piece. Take a look at the pictures. It is really a nice tea pot. I am attaching pictures. If you have questions, please e-mail. Thanks. Lurleen
Cat Or Dog String Holder Vintage Arthur Wood Art Deco
This is a vintage ceramic figural string holder and scissor caddy in the shape of a puppy dog or a cat with a red polka dot collar. The ceramic string holder measures 5 inches high by 6.5 long by 4 inches wide and was made by Arthur Wood, England. The string holder is pictured in the guide Collectibles for the Kitchen, Bath and Beyond by Bercovici, Zucker and Gillham on page 67. The string holder with scissors loop is was made 1930-1950s and is in good condition with no chips or cracks but does show paint loss from wear and use. Such a cute decorative item for the kitchen.
This Art Deco ginger jar or lidded vase is decorated with two Oriental motif scenes in two medallions that consist a Willow Tree, a pagoda and scattered flowers. The lid is ornate with the same flowers and willow branches and gilded knob as well. Measures 7,5 inches height by 5 inches diameter. It has quite a lot of crazing, no chips or cracks.Marked Arthur Wood England 5873.
Stunning near mint cobalt blue Arthur Wood teapot decorated with enameled roses and various other flowers It is in excellent condition with very minor wear to the gold trim and is almost 6 tall. It is marked in gold and also marked with impressions into the porcelain itself. Please note I had to adjust the brightness and contrast on the picture of the mark so that you could see them. The impressed marks are hard to read but I believe this is called Haddon or possibly Hadden.
