Done at Shreveport, the First day of March, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty three. Signed by Tho. O. Moore, as Governor, and also bears the signatures of the Secretary of State, Treasurer of the State, and Auditor of Public Accounts. Includes seven Interest Warrant coupons still attached to the bond. Very fine. Scarce.

    Gold School Bond Jersey City 1912
    Vintage State of New Jersey, City of Jersey City, Gold School Bond. This historic document, a $1,000 gold school bond, was witnessed on June 1, 1912. The mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1912 was H. Otto Wittpenn. The signatures for the mayor and city comptroller on this document are partial due to the cancel punch holes. 55 coupons attached to this bond were destroyed and documented by the city comptroller July 14, 1915. First stamped registered holder on the back was Royal Indemnity Company of New York, Nov. 27, 1915; last stamped registered holder entered was C.A. England & Co., May 5, 1937. This school bond measures about 10 inches by 15.25 inches when fully opened. Fine condition.
