Nice S&w Model 1, 2nd Issue 22 Sa Spur Trigger Pistol
This early 1870's Smith & Wesson single action 22 revolver features a 7 shot cylinder, walnut grips, excellent barrel address markings and a great looking age patina. The gun function pretty well too, except for the lockup, which is like most of this type S&W single action, weak due to an old worn spring. The finish is a nice age patina with bits of old bluing still found in protected areas and even some brass from the frame showing through. It is getting very hard to find these old model 1, 2nd issue S&W's in decent shape and this one is much better than decent. Antique Old West Pocket Pistol. S&w 32 Single Action
Here is a very nice Smith & Wesson spur trigger, single action 32 model 1 1/2 a.k.a. 32 Single action. These small but deadly 5 shot revolvers were extremely popular as a backup gun. The design and smaller size made it easy for a gambler, outlaw or saloon girl to hide this model on their person where it would be hard to detect. Many a drunken cowboy met his maker after deciding he would beat the crap out of a working girl. This little beauty is in very good condition when you consider it dates all the way back to the 1880's. All the mechanisms are in good working order and it seems the piece is 100% original. Most of the silver has worn off the frame, but the barrel retains about 85% and the cylinder about 65%. A great looking example of an old west personal protection revolver. WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE NOTE: WE CAN NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS THROUGH PAYPAL or Google FOR ANY OF OUR ANTIQUE FIREARMS. PLEASE PAY BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY. THANK YOU. Rare Pre 1898 Colt Bisley 44 40 Revolver. True Antique
Now here is a truly rare piece of history. Colt's Bisley model hand gun was introduced back in 1897. This 44 caliber Bisley Colt was made the following year, in 1898 and for Colt collectors, guns made prior to 1899; the end of the Black Powder era, are the only true antique firearms. Colt did continue to make the Bisley model for a dozen or so years into the early 1900's, but none of those guns can claim the same status of True Antique as can those early, pre1898 Bisley's. This gun is one of those extremely rare Colt revolvers. A Colt 1st generation Single Action Army, Bisley Model, with a 5-½ inch barrel, all matching serial numbers that means the gun was produced in the year 1898. The large bore 44 40 caliber is the same as the Winchester rifle of that time and many cowboys and outlaws made habit of carrying a sidearm that used the same bullets as did their Winchester rifles. The finish on this Colt is about 75 to 80% and I am convinced it is original. I believe whoever owned this gun used it well and cared for it as if it might one day save his life. I hope it did, because he certainly did keep it in fine shape. The grips are worn but still very nice and fit beautifully and most of all, this old Colt works like a dream. Nothing, I mean nothing on earth sounds quite the same as a Colt single action being cocked. The bore is clean and bright and the lands are tall and sharp with minor pitting in the grooves. This is not only a very rare antique; this is also a great shooter! (With the correct loads and guidance. See your local gunsmith for advice.) I doubt the neighbors on any side can say they have one of these in their collections and you can bet that in a few years you'll see the value of this one go right through the roof. They just aren't making any more real antique Colts, so what is left is all there will ever be. Less than 13 thousand Bisley models existed prior to 1898. How many hundred could their possibly be that look like this one? Think about it. native American Indian basket that measures 11 inches wide and 6 inches tall and is in near mint condition. The Papago or Tohono O'odham people of Southern Arizona produce the most baskets of any tribe today. They do a coil and & split stitch style using indigenous plants such as yucca, bear grass, and devil's claw. The techniques of basket weaving used today are identical to their prehistoric ancestors. The Native American Tohono O'odham or Desert People reside in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and Mexico. Early Tohono O'odham Indian Baskets were primarily utilitarian and used to carry water, firewood, prepare food and store items. Tohono O'odham Indian baskets are handmade using Native Plants such as Yucca, Beargrass, and Devils Claw. These Native American weavers rely on the natural colors of the desert plants.
S&w Model 1, 3rd Issue Spur Trigger 22 Sa Revolver
Another great looking antique S&W model 1. This is a 3rd issue of that model and though it still a features seven shot cylinder, spur trigger and single action in a very small but deadly pistol, the model 1 changed so much from issue two to three that very little remains the same between the two. The gun has a lot of old bluing turning to plum brown patina and a nice set of walnut grips. It also has very good barrel markings and deep, easy to read serials on the butt. As most model one S&W's, this one has a very weak lockup, but otherwise you are looking at a fine example of an old west pocket pistol from Smith & Wesson. Old West Pocket Pistol. Iver Johnson 32 Da . 5 Shot
Looking at the finish and condition of this little 5 shot 32 revolver, you might not think it this little double action could be over 100 years old, but it is. Bearing its maker's name and a string of patent dates from 1886 through 1888, this little but powerful pocket pistol is a perfect example of the old west Saturday Night Specials. Carried in waistbands, garters, vest pockets and just about place else you can think of, men and women alike used these small revolvers to protect themselves from harm or to add a bit more firepower to what they carried in their holster or saddlebags. The nickle silver is at least 90% on this one and the markings are excellent. The action is right on and everything works great except for one missing spring which would keep the locking latch lever in place rather than loose as it is now. Not for shooting. This is sold as a display or collector's pistol only. FREE Shipping to the lower 48 WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE NOTE: WE CAN NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS THROUGH PAYPAL or GOOGLE FOR ANY OF OUR ANTIQUE FIREARMS. Huge Southwest American Indian Coil Basket, 1920's
This basket was reportedly (by family tradition) collected by a Richmond, Virginia, couple on a trip to the American Southwest in the late 1920's. It stands a full 15 inches tall and is 20 inches in diameter. It is very tightly woven in a coil construction. It is in very good condition with no breaks, but slightly out of round. A nice Navajo lady suggested that she could wet it down and pull it back into shape. Sounded risky to us so we passed. Buyer pays shipping.
Colt Army. 45 Sa. Antique Gun. 1891. Owner Identified
Want to know what it was that got me hooked for life on these old Colt SA Army revolvers? It was the sound it makes as you slowly pull back on the hammer. No other pistol in the world can duplicate that same bone chilling sound. None. Only the Colt Peacemaker. Fact is, for me, I'd have to shave that statement down a little further and say only the original, true antique, first generation, pre 1898, made for black powder Colt 1873 Peace Maker is able to make that same exact sound that got me hooked on these guns all those years ago. If you are a fellow Colt lover, you probably already know what I'm talking about, but if you're not, stop to listen sometime. Once you do, you'll be hooked too. This fine antique Colt Single Action Army was made back in the year 1891 and comes with a Colt factory letter that actually identifies the man the gun was shipped to back then. Unlike most letters that come back saying the gun you asked about was part of a shipment of xxx guns that went to xxxx the well is drying up.... fast WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS THROUGH PAYPAL FOR ANY OF OUR ANTIQUE FIREARMS.
