Oval Chinese photo frame, made in ivory carved with dragons. Has glass in the frame. Measures 13.3 cm by 11.2 cm (5.1/4 inches by 4.3/8 inches). Very good condition. Probably early 20th century. Freight would be by Air Courier, not Post, unless you choose Post at your own risk.

Ivory cigarette holder, carved with dragon coiled around the stem. Dragon has tiny black eyes. Cigarette holder measures 13 cm long and 1.2 cm diameter (5 inches by 1/2 inch). Very good condition, has been used.

Japanese temple plaque, gold leaf lacquered, rear side is black lacquer. Has a strip of paper attached firmly to the face on one side with written characters. Probably for prayer or remembrance. It measures 23.5 cm high and 8.5 cm wide (8.7/8 inch by 3.3/8 inch). Very good condition.

Nicely detailed carving in ivory of a man holding a cricket cage in one hand, and a fan or paddle in the other. Appears to be Japanese, inked detail to face, clothes and hair. Made in several parts, his right arm is a little further out from his body, leaving a seam between his shoulder and arm - this can easily be rectified. Otherwise, absolutely no damage at all. He measures 13.2 cm high (5.1/4 inches). Signed underneath. Postage is priced for International Courier - cheaper post can be arranged at your own risk.

Old Chinese snuff bottle, round, with dipper lid at top of the sphere. Not sure if this is made from bamboo (feels like bamboo) but being round a hollowed out nut or nutshell is more likely. It isn't coquilla or tagua nut though. Could be corozo, but quite thin and light. Different scenes on each side, and signed on one side. Measures 55 mm diameter (2.1/8 inches). Excellent condition.

Japan- lacquer wood box with raised gold painted decoration and some ivory inlay- fine condition for its age-very minute minor nicks if you hunt for them- size is 12in.; by 9 1/2in.; by 3 1/4 in.;- the top nests in ridged edge- Ca. 1935

Japan-Unmarked- appears to be lacquered Teak as it is weighty (2 lbs)- very slight surface scratches which should come out with remover polish- 4 legs as shown- can also make a nice base for an art object- 14 1/2 by 9 1/4 and 7?8 thick plus 1/2 legs-Ca. 1970

China-unmarked-fine quality with damage-hat shows repair(slight discoloration where repaired) and back of cape shows repair-still an unusual piece of porcelain- wood base-figure is 5 7/8 tall,3 3/4 wide,2 3/4 deep-wood base 5/8 tall-Ca. 1890.

Two Chinese sages, made in red amber. Good detailing as to staffs, beads, clothing and beards. One carries a dragon-topped long staff, and the other looks like a snake staff. They each measure about 15.25 cm high (6 inches). One minor fault to the rear of the dragon staff, otherwise excellent. Beautiful with a light source behind them. They glow then.

Tiered Sushi Box, Flower Cart Shape with Red Floral. Just the cutest serving piece ever, this whimsical three tiered sushi box has a pagoda lid and decorative wheels. Made of molded plastic with a red and gold design on all four sides of the servers and on the wheels, it has a solid black base and a black lid accented with gold paint. The cart is about 7 high when assembled, and the base is 8.5 long and 4.75 wide. The serving bowls are 3.5 square.The cart and all its components are in very good condition with a few very minor scratches that only show up on extremely close inspection. Don't do sushi? Oriental,unmarked, probably Japan- hand carved wood of a fisherman pulling in his net--one of the finest detailed carvings i have come across in many years- please note the facial features, the net, the feet,the hat,etc- this was carved from one piece of wood- fine condition, couple of wood splits which is characteristic of its age- one showing in third photo on side of his face, other in last photo on bottom of base, and other on base and partly up the net (shows in 2nd photo)- these do not impair the quality of the carving- no other faults,no chips ,breaks nor repairs-10 long, 10 1/2 tall, 4 wide- Ca. 1900

Scenic Bowl with Sailboat at Sunset, Japan. A lovely scene depicting a sailboat and a large tree at sunset make this bowl a real conversation piece. The deep orange sky at the horizon fades to yellow and is reflected in the water below. This bowl is about 7.5 n diameter and in very good condition with some utensil marks and light fading, but there are no chips, nicks or cracks. A reverse painted Chinese snuff bottle. Age unknown. It seems to be old glass, reverse painted with a snarling tiger on both sides. The stopper and spoon are missing. Otherwise in good condition. 3 tall.

Two Chinese green jade carved dragons with two embroidered flowers mounted and framed in pierced English brass frame. 10 diameter framed. Each dragon measures 2-5/8 length by 1-1/2 height. Late 19th/early 20th century. Appears to be in excellent condition. There is glue on the dragons holding the glass, which can be removed if buyer chooses to remove jade from the frame.

About 20 years old, but has never been used. Beautiful workmanship. Three tiers of box, with one removable division. Black with red interiors. Decoration in golds and red with grey. Base material may well be plastic, but the decoration and lacquer work is beautiful. Possibly for sushi or sashimi, or maybe just a lovely trinket box. Box measures 14 cm high and 13.75 cm square (5.1/2 inches by about 5.1/2 inches square) Each tier is 4.5 cm (1.3/4 inches) high. Excellent condition, never used. This is a beautiful Chinese porcelain bowl with Tonghzi mark circa 1862-1874. Beautiful enamels with ducks, cranes and lots of great foliage. Great condition with no chips, no cracks. Size: about 8 1/4 at widest and 3 1/2 high. Great lobed shape.

Modern box, in storage for 20 years. Japanese, with two tiers and a hand-decorated lid with central shell inlay. Item measures 10 cm high and 23 cm diameter (4 inches by 9 inches). This is possibly a plastic base, but has been decorated with much skill. Excellent condition, never used.

A very finely woven tapestry with trees, water, two deer and houses. Unknown name of this technique of weaving, but impressive to see first hand. Currently attached to a backing by former owner to allow display, backing can be removed to reduce weight and bulk for easier shipping, would have to be sent freight in current condition. Can be boxed when removed and sent through the mail.

A vintage covered pot. I believe it may be pewter with an amber and turquoise stone on the lid. The embossed decoration is well done, possibly a chrysanthemum?. Bottom stamped with oriental marks. Stands 3 in. tall and is 2.75 in. diameter at the shoulder. Not sure if this is from old China or Japan.

Sake Bottle with Wax Relief Drip Glaze and Two Cups. With a high gloss midnight black glaze, this sake bottle has a Japanese character on the front of it, which is burnt out of the glaze by a process called wax relief. The character is outlined in brown glaze, which was also used to create a drip effect on the mouth of the bottle and the lips of the cups. On the cups where the two glazes come together, the resulting color, quite surprisingly, is green. The bottle is 4.5 tall and 4.75 across with a dimple in the back to make it easier to handle. The cups are 1-5/8 tall with the drip glaze inside and out. The sake bottle, with its potbelly shape is refreshingly different from the usual taller, thinner bottles. Marked with a foil label from MCI Japan, all of these pieces are in excellent condition and ready to grace your bar or add an oriental touch to your china cabinet.

Enameled Tea Mugs with Lids, Rosy Red Chinese Motif. This pair of Oriental style tea or coffee mugs have a rose red background with yellow scrolls all over. They also have medallions containing Chinese characters with large yellow and white flowers in between. These cups are china with an enameled finish and the pattern is known as Red Wan. They are almost 4 tall not including the lid and are 3.5 across, giving you an extra large serving of coffee or tea. The lids have a steam vent and an oval knob with an embossed flower. Stamped in red MADE IN CHINA with Chinese characters above. The cups and lids are in very good condition with a few small specks of enamel missing - nothing that's noticeable except upon very close examination. A lovely way to start or end the day! This ginger jar stands 5 in. tall. Measures approximately 3.5 in. diameter at the shoulder. No damage. Cobalt blue bird motif. Phoenix bird?

Oriental Lazy Susan with Sushi Box, Black and Red. This lazy susan has four curved outer compartments and a triple tiered center that sit on a 15 diameter rotating base. The outer compartments have a bright red center and black rims with gold floral decorations. The tiered server at the center has a gold tone finial and is 6 square. The tiers have black interiors and stack to create a fan design which is repeated on the lid. It is in very good with only very minor signs of use. Each of the center boxes is 1.5 deep and all of the components sit within a rotating base. This lazy susan is made of heavy duty plastic that looks like enameled wood, and is perfect for sushi or any other delicacy you prefer. This lovely ivory carved lady with bridge cards was the first place trophy for the 1964 Individual Championship South Pacific Bridge Club - Guam. The hand holding the cards has been repaired (see picture 7) and there is a crack on the face, I am not sure if it has been repaired and is hardly noticed. (Priced accordingly)

perfect condition porcelain cup with milifleur , ''thousand flowers'', decoration and a miniature calligraphy poem, ''senji mon'', written inside in over 200 characters. Large gold and red signature on base characters for ''Kutani'' and remaining uninterpreted characters may be for Tamura Kinsei but we are presently unsure.

Rice bowl with lid has a wood grain i think it is teak but could be a composite material. Mount Fugi is depicted on the lid.

very finely carved ivory handle and finial on this late 19th century parasol with intact embroidered covering. Handle depicts Japanese men and women engaged in some sort of celebration including many paper lanterns including one shaped like an octopus holding a fan. A carved lantern is shown on the end of the handle and the finial is decorated showing a bearded figure of Tengu with his long nose attached to a ball of string. The outer cover is complete with no tears or missing lace. all the ivory tips are present. light brown spots are present on the cover and one tear is on the silk underlining, a 2'' check is at the area where the handle attaches but it is quite solid. The handle is signed by the artist but is currently untranslated.[see image]

ANTIQUE SATSUMA MORIAGE FIGURE STATUE JAPANESE BUDDHA Fantastic Japanese Kutani Laughing Hotei Japan Gorgeous Antique Japanese hand painted Kutani Hotei or Laughing Buddha. Hotei is one of the Japanese Seven Gods of Good Fortune, or Shichifukujin. He is the god of contentment and happiness and will sure to bring you much happiness displayed in your home! He stands 8 inches high and is 5 inches wide and 6 deep. He is made of heavy pottery or plaster and is marked on the bottom. There is an incredible attention to detail on the Buddha. It makes one happy to to look at him. It signed on the bottom.
