Pictured are two pieces of Chinese cloissone from an estate in Candler Park of Atlanta. They date back to the early part of the 20th century, perhaps even of Art Deco influence. The bulb shaped vase measures about 4 1/4 tall, while the ashtray is about 4 in diameter and 1 5/8 high. You are buying only ONE of these items, THE VASE. This is for the VASE only. The miniature bud vase is unmarked, but definitely vintage Oriental cloissone. It has been through some sort of heat or fire, as it has a kind of alligator graining where the enamel was damaged. Still, however, it is lovely with floral designs and a butterfly in two places. The colors are quite striking in pink, cobalt blue, emerald green, rust, white and black. The base is brass. If perfect, this miniature treasure would go for anywhere from $75 to $125. Because of its shortcomings, this is a final sale...because of its exquisite work and vibrant colors, it would still make an awesome decorative piece and would compliment any decor from Victorian to Art Deco!

Vintage Handcarved Vietnam Man Ashtray. This ashtray came from Vietnam in 1960's, it has a carved man smoking a pipe, the bottom has a leaf shaped tray, meant to be an ashtray but could be used as catch all tray. It measures 6 1/2 inches tall by just over 5 inches long and is in excellent condition, never used as an ashtray. It would be a terrific addition to your collection!
Apprx 5 by 7 , all handmade, mideastern, all hand inlay work with stones and bone, star of David design, no missing pieces, minimal wear. I'd estimate this to date to the early to mid 1900s. While similar items are still made, this appears to be an early example. I bought this for myself over 20 yrs ago. Other than a little cleaning up, this is in very good vintage condition. I taped the back on, but once a picture is added, small finishing nails can be substituted. Nice decorative frame!
Vintage Black Lacquer Plate With A Mother Of Pearl Inlay
Vintage Black Lacquer Plate with a Mother of Pearl Inlay. The inlay has a man on a boat rowing towards two huts, it measures just over 3 3/4 inches across and comes with a matching black lacquer stand, probably from Japan. It would be a lovely addition to your collection!

Unsure if this is Chinese or Japanese, this antique netsuke looks to be a late 19th century to early 20th century piece. It measures about 1 3/8 long and nearly an inch high, and it's made of solid natural ivory, I was told by the local estate where I purchased this that this is true tusk ivory, but not being an expert, I am not 100% sure. The miniature sculpture appears to be an animal of some kind. I think it is either a ram or a goat. It was difficult to photograph, but it's very nice with an aged patina to the ivory, nice graining evident, and lovely details including curved horns like a ram. Maybe a Mountain goat? On the bottom it is signed by the artist...it kind of looks like NIC...?? but I believe it's Japanese or Chinese letters. Whether from Japan or China, this is a superb piece in excellent condition. There are two holes on one side with a metal loop in it to hang from a chain as a piece of jewelry if desired, and the netsuke is free from damage or repair. Sure to be a welcomed addition to any collection of Asian memorabilia, this is a nice Oriental ivory treasure not to be missed!
Superb Antique Bronze Chinese Buddha Figure For Incense
Measuring a tad shy of 6 tall and about 3.5 at its widest point, this Chinese figural statue of the Buddha dates to the early to mid 1900s. It's heavy and made of bronze and has a rich warm patina. Beautifully detailed, I think this may have been an incense burner as it is hollow and has little holes at the corner of his smiling mouth. If not originally intended to use for incense, it would still be a terrific use for such a cool statue nevertheless. The Buddha is a Chinese style Buddha with great detail. He wears a draping robe, has a big belly and breast area, and has interesting short arms. He's in vry good condition with the exception of a small place on the back of his right shoulder where a small piece of metal has chipped off. This is not noticeable at all from the front and it still has an attractive and authentic look and feel. Sure to please a collector of Asian items, this laughing Buddha has been in my own collection for nearly 15 yrs. I actually paid nearly $100 for this at an antique show here in Atlanta and am offering this for a fraction of my own cost. Don't miss this special icon!
Unusual Old Handmade Brass Hindu Diety Statue Figure
This is a very unique artist made piece that appears to be Hindu, perhaps it is from India? Hand constructed from solid brass, the plaque or hanging measures about 6 by 4 1/4 . I am unsure of its age, but it's rather crudely made, making me think it is rather old, perhaps 19th century...I am NOT SURE however, and I welcome any information you may care to share. The statue consists of four mythological figures that appear to be gods or dieties. They don't look cast, instead it appears each god was designed by hand. The one on the far left looks like Gonesh (Ganesha Ganesh) and has a elephant like nose, one has little wires that encircle the chest to represent breasts of a female diety. All of them have facial and clothes features that are evidently applied by hand. Wire decoration adorns the entire piece making a nice frame like border. There are two loops at the back on the bottom, but I am unsure of how they were originally used. The back of the figures is rough and crudely done; it almost seems as if they're quite ancient while the border may have been added at a later date. I've left it unpolished, and it has a nice darkened patina. In magnificient condition, this is a fabulous piece that is potentially a true antiquity...at least the main section. It's a must for the serious collector of Hindu and Eastern religion artifacts. Possibly a museum piece, make sure to get your bids in on this little treasure early!
Apprx 3 1/2 high and 3 wide, unusual little bottle. hand signed CHINA on the bottom. Bottle appears revere painted and shows a very interesting scene that is different on both sides. Unsure of date, though I am thinking it may date as far back as the 1920s. Very good vintage condition though the cork is broken off in the top. Sold as found, lovely Asian motif, nice colors, great decorative piece.
Old Handmade Chinese Inlay Jade Lacquered Wall Plaque
Measuring approximately 23 3/4 by 9 7/8 , I was fortunate enough to buy this fabulous Chinese lacquered framed inlay sculpture. I'd guess it dates to the 1940s or 40s, still having the HONG KONG mark on the back. You are buying on the one on the RIGHT ONLY! The RIGHT plaque shows an arrangement with a floral motif in little buds, perhaps some sort of Apple Blossom. THE OTHER ONE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! Each matching piece is shown in a lovely long rectangular black lacquered frame with a Chinese motif brass hanger in the center at the top and silver and gold painted decorations along the border. This piece has an ornate inlaid design in a nice Asian motif. A gorgeous long stone vase with hand painted decorations holds the floral arangement in a raised design in materials that appear to be jade. I'm not sure if other materials like soapstone, shell, or coral were also used. A nice hand painted swirling design encircles the urn at its widest point. The elegant sculpture is in earthtones of pale greem, burnt orange, cream, and even a pale yellow. Well made, the piece is backed in black painted wood, and they show minimal, if any wear. No damage or repair or missing pieces, all of the sculpture is intact and ready to display!
Important 19th Century Chinese Empress Scroll Painting
From a local estate collection, this is a rare and important one-of-a-kind Chinese scroll painting from the 1800s. The amazing piece is approximately 27 by 66 . It is ornately hand painted with exquisite detail. The scroll has a thin strip of wood at the top and a round wooden rod at the bottom. The 19th century painting depicts a Chinese empress in traditional costume. Her face is incredibly realistic and her headdress is vibrant and intricate. She wears a crimson red robe with rich decorations. A painted foo dog is below her. In well preserved condition, this is as nice as they come. It has expected wear, and the heavy parchment type paper has a silk like border vertically down the sides. Other than some minimal wear on the edges and near the top, it is in excellent condition, the painting unfaded and quite special. Shop price was over $1800 on this painting.
19th C Chinese Ivory Miniature Buddha Statue Figure
About the size of a netsuke, this hand carved solid pre-ban ivory carving is a miniature statue of Buddha. I'm unsure, but I believe this is a Chinese Buddha....I suppose it could be Japanese, though and I welcome any information you may care to share about this. Apprx 2 inches high, the sculpture is incredibly well detailed and has a lovely rich century old patina. The natural ivory graining can easily be seen, especially on the back. On the bottom is an artist's signature. The piece has some small age hairlines that do not detract or devalue, in my opinion. There is a small nick on one of his feet and a chip on the base on the back. Otherwise, it has a truly lovely look in good condition. I've enjoyed this for years and hope you will too!
Antique Chinese Brass Scenic Enamel Trinket Box China
Purchased in an estate. Solid brass, stamped CHINA , dates to the early 1900s, pre 1920s. Nice heavy weight, beautiful enamelled raised relief scene of Chinese men carrying a little people-carrier type of box. The lid has an orange knob at the top that appears to be a stone of some sort, not glass. It may be a type of jade, I've been told. The little decorated lidded box measures about 4 high and nearly 2 1/2 across. It has a lovely warm patina which shows the detail of the scene nicely. It has 3 short little brass feet on the bottom. It is in very good vintage condition with the only exception being that the orange knob at the top needing to be reaattached. This is easily done with either a little solder or epoxy. One more small thing to note is that the inner lip has a split which does not show in the least or affect the overall look. Rare and wonderful Asian antique!

A vintage terra cotta ginger jar that stands 6 in. tall. In very good, usable, displayable condition. There are unique elephant head shaped handles on either side. One side is decorated with a horned or antlered animal and the other has what appears to be a woman seated near a window? These images appear to perhaps be carved and polished smooth. I'm not an expert at this type of item so can only describe as I see it. Makers oriental mark near the bottom on the side and I believe it is an artist signature in Oriental writing on the other side. Can't get a clear image of it. This covered jar measures about 6 in. diameter at the widest area. and 3 in. diameter at the base. The top of the cover has an embossed or carved? flower design. This item would be from the early 20th century is my best guesstimate.
