This does not destabilize the piece. Several blemishes. The eyes have been accented with some type of pigment. Carved from one piece of hard wood. Found at an Estate Sale in Oklahoma City. Great presence and personality.

Origin: Philippines: People of the Mountain Province This wooden box resembles a sitting tribal man holding a ring or necklace that surrounds its neck. The 2 inch diameter cover of the box is the head of a man. The surface of the box is stained black. I acquired this box directly from a shop in Pasig City, Philippines. Please note that the figure (box) is black. It appears washed out from the light needed to photograph it.
