Circa: 1930's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: HENRY DISSTON & SONS
Offering this nice clean cross cut hand-saw in good+ condition. It is straight and clean with visible etchings, marked "HENRY DISSTON & SONS D-8 PHILADELPHIA U.S.A. 11 ", 26" long blade, 29" long overall, and 11 teeth per inch. The medallion is marked "* DISSTON * U.S.A." or from the 1930's era. The blade is straight, has some darkening (light staining mostly) on the finish, but is not rusty, and not pitted, good teeth, very sharp, ready to use. We do note that a few of the teeth have been filed in such a way that appears to be inconsistent with the others, otherwise very sharp teeth, signs of a resent sharpening. The handle is very nice, with about 80% of the original clear finish intact, nice hardware, a few minor dings and light scratches. A nice well cared for, quality used hand-saw!
