Presenting 25 Shirley Temple composition doll rated VG Condition. She is wearing a pink dress with flared pleats, in very good condition. The dress has a circled ribbon sewn into the left side to lift the skirt. She has pink underpants with elastic waist. The elastic has given way but the panties still fit around the waist. She has a white slip and black shoes in good condition. The dress is marked Specially made by Betty and is an exact copy of a dress worn by the Shirley Temple doll. The back of her head is marked 25 Shirley Temple ~ Ideal . There is something written under Ideal but it's not readable. Her wig appears to be the original, it just needs to be styled. Checking her eyes through a jewelry loupe, I see a crack in the right eye. I did not see a crack in the left eye but there is crazing. I can also see that her eyes were once hazel, but are now discolored. As seen in the pictures, she has a crack near both eyes. She has all her fingers and toes. Her sleepy eyes open and close easily. Her arms and legs move easily. There is light crazing on the face and can be observed in close up pictures. I checked her body from head to toes and the only crazing I saw was on the face and the left eye. She has flirty, sleepy eyes and open mouth with teeth showing. All of her lashes are present. These dolls were produced between 1934 - 1939, establishing her age as approx 70 years old now. Her condition is fantastic for a composition doll that old.
