Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: mid 1900's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Estwing Rockford ILL U.S.A.
This is a very nice carpenter's hammer with the steel shaft, and leather handle. The metal plate on the end of the handle is marked "ESTWING ROCKFORD ILL. MADE IN U.S.A. 16 OZ. HEAD". This is a vintage hammer for the mid-1900's era, but is still in very nice shape overall. The leather handle is the leather oblong washer type, for the best grip you can buy. The hammer head is 4.5" long, and the handle is 12.2" long. The condition is good++, some minor wear, some side strike dings noted, but the striking head and nail puller features in very good working order. No rust, very little minor pitting, very clean overall. The leather is well attached, nice finish, well cared for, some minor staining, overall in very good usable condition. Made to last! A very well made 1 pound hammer!
