This is a finely crafted bisque porcelain figurine issued by Princeton Gallery in 1990. Love's Devotion is an appropriate title for this statue, depicting a baby Unicorn nuzzling up against its Mom. The figurine stands 7 inches tall and has a grassy oval base that measures 7 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. Silver is used for the hoofs and single horns of the Unicorns, and there are flower decorations on both the Mother Unicorn and her baby. This statue was part of the Legend of the Unicorn series and is in very good condition with the only note that it appears as if the horn of the Mother Unicorn may have been glued back. Although we do not have the paperwork or certificate, this well-cared for figurine is being sold at a price greatly reduced from the original Princeton Gallery offering.

Very pretty and nicely modelled trinket box. Greyhound on floral decorated rug with tasselled corners. The lower part of the box has a printed floral border and floral pattern inside. This item is heavy porcelain (especially the base), and has a distinct Chinese feel to it. The mark is known as a reproduction, possibly to ape German porcelain wares, or even Staffordshire dogs. None the less, this is a well modelled dog right down to the curl of his toes, and a very attractive piece. It measures 18 cm by 12 cm and 12 cm high (7.1/8 inches by 4.3/4 inches and 4.3/4 inches high). Excellent condition, no damage.

A set of three pretty ceramic musical angel figurines complete in their original box from 1950s Japan. They're about 6-1/2 inches high to the tips of their long raised feathery wings. They have short curly light brown hair and wear long pale green gowns. Each holds a musical instrument or song sheet. Their paper labels have been removed from the bottoms, otherwise they show no signs or use or wear and are in perfect condition. The original cardboard box is marked with a label reading No. 7310 A-C, 3 Pcs, Made In Japan. Lovely for display at Christmas time or all year.

Cute 1950s porcelain ceramic altar boy or choir boy figurines by Napco. Typically displayed during the holidays, these boys can be used all year if you like as they're wearing non-Christmasy white and mulberry purple cassocks and robes with gold trim. One boy carries a large candle, the other holds a prayer book or song book. They're 3-3/4 inches high and in excellent condition with no damage. A hard to find set of 3 Howard Pierce geese from the mid 20th century. Each figure is in excellent condition. The sizes are 8.5 tall, 7 tall and 5.5 tall. The taller one has an incised mark, Pierce 250P, and the 2 smaller ones have the black stamped Howard Pierce mark.

This cute pixie-like ceramic devil figurine was made by Kreiss in 1955 and marked as such on the underside of one foot. He's 4-3/4 inches high and strikes an impish pose with hands folded across his chest, head mischievously bowed a bit, and red cape flowing behind his shoulders. He has a chenille and red velour spiked tail. There is a small white paint skip or flake on the upper back leg (it feels smooth, not chipped or nicked) and two tiny paint missed on the waist ruffle. All other white spots are from glare to the shiny glaze. The devil has no damage.

Charming pixie-like ceramic devil figurine from Kreiss, dated 1955. He's just over 4-3/4 inches tall and takes a confident stance with hands on hips, red cape waving behind his shoulders. He has a chenille and red velour spiked tail and his original I'm a Little Devil hangtag. Very likely American made, as neither the foot markings nor the hangtag are marked with the country of origin. My photos show a lot of glare to the shiny finish, almost all the white spots are just that. The right side foot has a little minor paint loss at the very bottom and there are a couple pinpoint paint misses from manufacture to the red suit and cape (they don't feel or look like flakes or scratches), no chips or damage. Dimestore devil figurines like this were popular Valentine's gifts in my family for some reason, maybe they were marketed at that time of year. Or maybe my Mom and Dad just liked to exchange devils.

German (Thuringia) porcelain figurine in the Meissen style - gentleman in 19th century dress inclining a slight bow with a rose in one hand. Beautiful colouring and detail. Has the faint remains of the Volksted mark for Alteste Volkstedter Porazllanfabrik underneath, with the impressed letters and figures 8 and an I over what might be a 4. Figurine measures 21 cm high (8.1/4 inches). He was once part of a couple, but his lady love has been broken. He has sustained slight finger damage, and now has his forefinger on the left hand repaired, and a missing tiny tip to his middle finger of the same hand. Otherwise excellent condition. Late 19th century. Porcelain mark is for 1894 to 1900.
