Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: Late 1800's
Condition: Very Good
Manufacturer: Not marked
Offering this wonderful primitive hand made miniature folk art baker's cabinet that has all wood, (mixed hardwoods, mostly Cherry wood) hand made hinges and latches on all the cupboard door. Inside the upper section there are closely spaced shelves, most likely was designed for pie storage. The hand made hinges are unique, and very sturdy, no damage to any of the, and each is still quite snug. The style of the hinges reminds me of some of the antique cast iron toy stove hinges I have seen in the past, only these are wood and are amazingly well fitted. There are also two drawers, each is a different width, or one wider than the other, but both are well made, and like the doors, fully functional. Overall cabinet measures 6 inches wide x 4.9 inches deep x 7.0 inches tall. (Medium size doll or doll house scale) Very good condition, wonderful patina, drawers pull out smoothly, no cracks in wood, clean. This is an excellent piece of primitive folk art, wonderful display piece! Circa late 1800's to very early 1900's. Lots of character and charm, a one of a kind!
