Great Expectations Antiques

Condition: Very Good
Manufacturer: Not marked
Offering this wonderful primitive hand made miniature folk wash stand cabinet that has all wood, (mixed hardwoods, mostly Maple wood) that features an antique mirror in the back board. The mirror fits good and has about 90% original reflective coating intact. The hinges are unique, they are the hidden type of pivot hinges, and very sturdy, no damage to any of them, and each door is still quite snug. There are also one full width drawer, with two good pulls, nicely made with lap joint on all four inside corners, fully functional. Overall cabinet measures 9 inches wide x 4.0 inches deep x 11 inches tall. (larger size doll or doll house scale) Very good condition, wonderful patina, drawer pulls out smoothly, no cracks in wood, clean. We do note that some of the outside edges of the back board are not as smooth as the rest of the cabinet, but otherwise, the finish is smooth with only a few small, or minor flaws to report. This is an excellent piece of primitive folk art, wonderful display piece! Circa late 1800's to very early 1900's. Lots of character and charm, a one of a kind!
