Driftwood Casual Amber Water Goblet By Seneca Glass
Driftwood Casual Amber Water Goblet by Seneca Glass. Seneca Glass Company operated from 1891 to 1983, the factory they operated out of was originally built by Fostoria Glass, they later moved to a new factory along the Monogahela River. This new factory was close to the Morgantown Glass Works and Beaumont Glass. This led to the three companies borrowing designs from one another and at times making or decorating glass for each other. The full name Driftwood Casual is often shortened to Driftwood. Seneca's original Driftwood line #1952 had a somewhat different design, but it's still recognizable as Driftwood. The major distinguishing feature is that original Driftwood had perfectly round bases. This line was made in many different colors, this tumbler is officially named Amber, this color was was produced from the 1960's to 1983. This line of glass is often referred to as Crinkle or Wrinkle glass. It is 5 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches across the mouth and holds 13 ounces, in excellent condition. Lovely addition to your collection, please see our other listings for additional pieces in this pattern! I don't know who made this gorgeous amberina glass bowl. It has an EAPG type hobstar or sunburst pattern, but I don't think it's from the Early American Pattern Glass era. On the other hand, it's not new either - my best guess is Mid Century, perhaps Imperial or maybe Viking. The bowl is a little over 8 inches diameter by about 2-3/4 high. It has beautiful dark coloring with deep ruby red at the top shading to orange at the base with the typical amberina golden line at the rim edge. It's in excellent condition with no damage or wear.

Morgantown Peacock Blue Art Glass Vase And 2 Flower Bowls
Two of these beautiful Mid Century colored glass pieces were made by Morgantown. I'm not sure who made the crimped rim ribbed optic flower bowl but it was found with the others and goes well with them. The small hourglass shape vase can be found in an early 1960s Morgantown Glassware Guild catalog. The color is Peacock Blue, one of my books calls it the Elinor vase. It's 3-3/4 high by 2-3/4 diameter at the rim. The straight neck flower bowl vase is also a Peacock Blue Morgantown piece, designed to be used with a glass flower frog. It was offered in the company's 1970 catalog. Measures 3-1/4 high by 4-7/8 diameter. The ribbed optic flower bowl has a muted striped effect to the coloring and a slightly crimped rim. The color is a little darker than the other two pieces, more of a teal blue. It measures 5-3/4 diameter by 2-1/4 deep. There's a slightly protruding pontil mark on the bottom, so it does not sit perfectly flat. The very slight rock doesn't interfere with stability or display. All three pieces are in excellent condition with no damage, stains, or cloudiness.
