Major piece of Pallme-Konig threaded glass: 8.5 inch tall, 9 inches wide, iridescent deep purple/red vase with rolled rim. Pallme-Konig, perhaps the most significant Bohemian glassmaker, is often mistaken for Loetz glass, and was in fact a competitor of Loetz. All were in production at time of Tiffany glass in America. This huge centerpiece vase is in superb, excellent condition; all threading original and appears totally intact. Very large certerpiece worthy of any fine collection. Large pontil on bottom. See Bohemian Glass by Truitt, page 103, for similar pieces.

This unsigned Daum Nancy crystal decanter with the fleur de lis shaped cut stopper would be wonderful in any setting or collection. The unique stopper is pictured on page #152 of the Claude Petry Daum dans les Musees de Nancy book of Daum glass. I've seen some with gold edging, but there was no indication that this piece ever had any gold trim. Perhaps one could have purchased it with the gilt or without the gilt. 11 9/16 high. 5 1/4 wide. Ground pontil. The crystal has a beautiful clarity accented by the optic ribbed in the body of the glass and the very extraordinary chiseled or hammered effect on the stopper. Truly magnificant.

1177.Signed Verlys these bowls with 3 molded pine cone feet have a wonderful frosted finish. 6.25 inches in diameter and 1.75 inches high. Nice finish without scratches, normal wear on base of feet. I cannot state whether these are of French or Heisey manufacture. Glass Signatures Trademarks and Trade Names by Anne Pullin states that some say Verlys without the added France indicates Heisey manufacture while others state that Heisey wares were only marked with paper labels. I do not know if there is any conclusive information either way. These two bowls only have the Verlys script mark on the bottom. No paper labels. $175 EACH

Bohemian vase with wonderful landscape decor. This is the softest piece of glass I've ever touched. Attributed to J.E. Schneckendorf born in Rumania, taught sculpture in Bucharest, Budapest and Vienna before studying at the Munich Academy of Applied Arts and experimenting in glass. His technique was to treat glass with metallic oxides to create beautiful iridescent glass. It appears to be similiar to Steuben's glass of silk with the addition of the topaz color the same technique as the semi transparent color. He won several gold metals at various exhibitions for his work. This is rare and beautiful.
