Very scarce Whitehall-Tatum amethyst glass No#1 insulator with a hole all the way through the top. A very hard to find color. Signed on the bottom rim. Made in the USA. Fine condition with no damage and only light wear. Exact circa unknown but pre-1960.
Amethyst American Telephone & Telegraph Glass Insulator
Rare CD-121 Amethyst glass American Telephone & Telegraph glass insulator. This insulator was believed to have been used on the telegraph line along the Wire Road surveyed by Robert E. Lee in the 1800s between Williams Ranch, TX and Fort Davis, TX. It has chips on the base and 2 nicks on the top portion but overall is in good+ condition (see photos). Circa mid-late l800s. This color is very scarce/rare.
